Chapter Sixteen - TRIAD and the 4th Dimension

Chapter Sixteen -
TRIAD and the 4th Dimension

With this chapter, for a book whose stated purpose is to get people to make preparation for disastrous times, it may seem to have gone far astray but, in truth, the most important thing in all ventures is that one be right with God. Because many people are not ready for that message, this book also provides important practical prepping guidance in forming essential lower level TRIADS. However, in this chapter, we are going to examine the very highest level TRIAD, something that unfortunately very few people in our present society will attain to, but that should be the ultimate goal of every person. This is what I call a '4th Dimensional TRIAD'.
It is not a particular religion or philosophy that I am trying communicate here, but a technique and social organization that can apply equally to all religions. I make no mention of my religion throughout this book and the technique/goal being presented in this chapter is universally applicable to Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and all other religions.
What every person in every religion should be seeking is the God-directed life. What is proposed/described here is how two other persons in a TRIAD can help you achieve that goal and how you can help them to achieve that goal. What is first required is that all three persons in the TRIAD be agreed that the goal of the TRIAD is their becoming more committed to serving God.
I can think of no higher goal or purpose for a TRIAD than the one that has just been stated. Indeed, it seems to me that such a TRIAD should be the very purpose of life -- that is to say, three close friends whose goal and commitment is to help each other achieve complete commitment to God's purpose for each of them.
A person being a member of such a TRIAD will most likely be a member of other TRIADs for other purposes. It seems to me unlikely that a person would simultaneously be a member of two Level 10 4th-Dimensional TRIADS, but what do I know? In fact what do I know of such TRIADs? I am already telling you more than I know. It is the old story of: those who can, do; and those who can't, write.
Nevertheless, I shall try to explain the concept the best that I can. We begin first with the traditional three-pointed TRIAD and the additional three cross- monitoring lines.

Now is where I get into trouble trying to draw the next dimension, but think of a point representing God above/outside/beyond the triangle. You may think, and may well be right in thinking, that the triangle should be in G with G permeating throughout, but I am doing the best that I can.

Each of the original points on the triangle has a dotted line representing their relationship to God.

We still show our monitoring lines with each other and, although we don't show lines from G, we can imagine there is a line from the Apex 'G" to each of the base lines representing the guidance we seek from God regarding our relationships to each other.
As with the four person TRIAD which we dismissed earlier there is now a line from each of the three individual points to each of the lines between the other two participants' lines to the Apex. This represents our objective monitoring and attempt to encourage and assist each of the other two individuals in our TRIAD in their relationship to God. Topologically, the two presentations, that of a fourth human node in the chapter on Science and that of a Divine node (actually more of a mode) in this chapter, may appear to be the same but that is only true if one ignores the dimensionality of this latter node.

This immense and intensive amount of integration and interaction is sustainable only by very spiritually mature individuals. Nevertheless, it brings a higher spiritual awareness to our lives of our interrelatedness and our relationship to God. What we don't show here is the all pervasive direction from 'G' to the rest of the matrix.
As with any new concept there will be opposition. Many people will feel that they can only have an intimate and private relationship with God. They will mention about entering into one's closest to pray privately and in secret, and so forth. They will raise again the ancient cavil asking, "Am I my brother's keeper?" because it will seem to them, from the lines of the TRIAD, that they are interfering in the other members' relationship to God and that the other members are interfering in their relationship to God.
The TRIAD concept will be distasteful to many people who have philosophies of extreme independence. It is true that each person is responsible for their own soul and cannot lay the fault of failure upon another, but that which determines our progress is our relationship to others.
Many people have in the past been concerned with only their own 'salvation', perhaps extending their unity to one other in marriage. This concept of a higher unity of three, which provides objective monitoring of their interactions now not only with two others but also with God, will be more of a challenge than they will even be willing to consider.
In this day science and expansion of knowledge of the universe has brought us much greater physical and intellectual powers than humanity has had before. We must also expand our social powers for unity and our relationship to the Infinite, or what we have gained otherwise will all come to naught.
Truth and God being infinite, our search is over an infinite spectrum as the two following distinctively different stories demonstrate. Both are good, depending on where one is in their journey.

Gladys' (A) parents were killed in an accident a year ago and she is still suffering the pain of losing her parents. James (B) is a 30 year old high school dropout who wants to earn a good living but he only knows how to cook, based on what his mother taught him.
Henry (C) has some small farmland where he grows vegetables and maintains a little poultry. He works very hard to tend to his two sons and his sickly wife.
The three friends decided at a prayer counseling seminar to form a TRIAD because all three of them have something in common: they would like to seek for God's guidance.

--------
A Gladys: "It’s just disturbing how life ends up the way you didn't expect it to be. I mean…it's terribly frustrating when things go very bad. Right now, I feel I want to blame God for everything that happened." B James: "Well, I would agree. At times we just feel lost on how life should be. Look at me, my dad died without seeing how I can achieve my goal. I mean, I'm already 30 and still don't have work."
C Henry: "I know how both of you feel. Losing yourself is very sad. I was lost too and thought having a family will make me happy. And yet, something is missing. Even with all the hard work, I can't even feed my kids. And Cecile has been unwell since the chemotherapy… I don't want to complain and yet, at times, it feels God is blind or deaf.”

A - C "At least you have a family. I don't have any. All I have is my inheritance. I prefer to have my parents with me."
B - A "Gladys, I know how you feel. I felt the same way after I lost my dad."
C- A/B "I also know how both of you feel; I felt that when I knew Cecile had cancer. And yet I thank God that Cecile is alive. I just can't imagine what will happen to me without my wife. That's why I do everything I can to make sure that the family is all right."
B - C "Well, my mom told me that things happen for a purpose."
A -B/C "I think so."
C - B/A "Well, that's why we are here in this prayer session as a group."
C/A "Let's start our session with a prayer to God, asking him for some guidance, why things happen as such. I am sure He listens to us."
A-G - Gladys volunteered to go first….
"God, I know you are the giver of life, so you can also take it away. Though my heart is aching, I want you to please help me. Help me be stronger. I am all alone now. I don't know what to do. I'm still very troubled Lord. Please help me."
B - G "God, I've been a good son, you know that. And until now, I am still continuously trying to prove myself. Please give me a nice job where I can actually be useful. I want my Mom to be proud of me. Please help me."
C - G "God, I'm not asking too much. Actually I want to thank you for making Cecile strong; I am very grateful for that. And yet, God, I am having difficulty with my work. The house is still in mortgage, the twins are starting their school next month and I need to have some extra cash for Cecile's medication. So please, God, help me. I'm sorry if I doubted you but please, please help me here."

----------
In a TRIAD situation, prayer partners might very much try to help each other in considering the nature of each others' prayers. While exhibiting empathy and sympathy, as they have here, there also needs to be critical objective analysis of our relationship to God. Our desire for and willingness to accept that critique is key to the TRIAD process. It is such a personal process that it, however, lies beyond what we shall do here, even in anonymity. At some point in our prayers, aside from the TRIAD, we all still need to enter into our closet where we disclose unto God the innermost secrets of our heart.

This is a copy of TRIAD email correspondence sent to me of a theological discussion by three Christian ministers, Ray (A), Grant (B), Goran (C). It was sent to me at my request for an example from their TRIAD and I received it the same day it took place.

A I've been prepping at the Hindu temple with a very wise teacher for a course on Hinduism that I will be teaching this winter. The deeper I go in my studies, the more clearly I see that Hinduism has the right approach in emphasizing that God is always present in us--not just present by invitation, confession or belief. B This is dangerously close to Panentheism [1]--the belief that since God is in everything, everything is God.
C The scripture says, "In God we live and move and have our being," and Swedenborg pointed out that it is the spirit that sees through the eye, and it is God who sees through the spirit -- that God is the one who does the seeing through us.
A My soul is at rest. Indeed, in Him we live and move and have our being . . . for He lives and moves in us. Beautifully said.
It is true that "God in us," does not make us God. Nor does God in the world make the world God. But let us never conclude that God is not in us, or in the world. He is in everything that has life -- for He is Life Itself. He is in all space, apart from space. Moreover it's not just a spark of the Divine, or a trickle of influx -- He is present with the fullness of His love and wisdom, with the whole of His kingdom, everywhere, and in everyone. As the father said to the prodigal son, "All that I have is yours." As Jesus says to each of us, "Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
A-(B.C) I will sleep well tonight. Thanks to both of you for your good thoughts on this important subject.

(1) Panentheism (pân) "all"; (en) "in"; (theós) "God"; "all-in-God") is a belief system which posits that God personally exists, interpenetrates every part of nature and timelessly extends beyond it. Panentheism is differentiated from pantheism, which holds that God is not a distinct being but is synonymous with the universe. So, there is room to argue that the definition by B is not quite right. Nevertheless, this perhaps demonstrates why one does not want a fourth opinion inside a TRIAD.
My Comment on the Two Above Stories.
There is really nothing that I should add to this discussion regarding the 4th-Dimensional TRIAD because God being Infinite, none of us can have a complete grasp of the Divine nature. We are all at the point where we are in our understanding. It may be that in the first story I am a bit inclined to think of the view of a 'listening' God as being a bit anthropomorphic. But in the second view I equally well see the imposition of limited human conceptions regarding "in-ness" and "out-ness" that God can be in or out of something. Yes, I understand the argument about His being everywhere, then He is in everything. That approach leads to very interesting discussions about those things we consider evil.
For myself, the very concepts of time, space, matter are an illusion (that is NOT to say they are a delusion) based upon our perception of underlying REALITY. God is no more "in" them than we are "in" a mirror. Reflection and presence are distinct just as are manifestation and incarnation. It is in understanding the subtle differences between a “prayer-hearing, prayer-answering God” and a 'listening’ God that we grow spiritually and realize that there is no reality separate from God.
The point of all this in this book is not a matter of theological discussion, but rather to demonstrate the process and show that TRIAD works for our development as we progress through all levels.
We should never scoff at what we consider to be someone else’s lesser understanding. Every journey begins with a single step and better is a single step in the right direction than the flight of an arrow in the wrong.
One should never be discouraged by how little they know, so long as they continue the journey. We may never master calculus, but it does not mean we should not learn arithmetic and teach it to our children. All truth at all levels is good and useful, and the TRIAD is useful at all levels, to help progress.
