The Continuing New Normal
Many hours tracking the news the last few days -
looking for news about the Friday Mosque speeches after Eid al-Fitr.
But nothing, although occasional snippets about tens of thousands
in demonstrations in cities throughout Europe, the Middle East
and even in Chicago and Washington, D.C.
This one Muslim demonstration in China resulted in about 100 dead and 150
hurt. More than 200 people have died in unrest in Xinjiang from attacks that took place at the end of
the holy month of Ramadan, which officials had tried to get Muslims in Xinjiang to ignore. Then the
earthquake in Southern China today killed more.
I found the gas explosion in
Taiwan quite interesting. I had never seen anything quite like that. My expectation is that if one dug deep
enough they would find some bureaucrat being too friendly with industry in applying standards that
should have prevented such a tragedy. Bribes are a big problem in many parts of the world.
Fortunately, for the common person there is little of it in the US and Canada. It is largely restricted
to congress and their relationship to the banks and corporations. There it is done in an
institutionalized and systematic way.
American foreign news has been dominated by Gaza, usually in a anti-Jewish vein, to the exclusion of
news about:
Ukraine
Libya
Syria
Iraq
African countries
and many other conflicts where greater numbers are being killed, but which I have had to go to the
foreign press to learn about.

Another Expectation Unfulfilled
This year's Eid al-Fitr has certainly upset my paradigm for the week. I thought things would heat up
immensely after the Friday Mosque speeches. Not to say that they aren't heating up - but just not in
the obvious way that I thought they would.
Israel has destroyed, altogether less than 50 Gaza tunnels, while this week Egypt's army said it has
destroyed 1,639 Gaza tunnels. That was another paradigm change for me. Cairo also accuses Hamas of
being involved in militant attacks inside Egypt, which have resulted in more than 1,400 people being
killed in street clashes. Yet, all we hear is Israel and Gaza. Those tunnels are not primitive little
holes that someone crawls through on their belly. Pictures that I have seen show concrete sides, lighting and communication channels
down the sides and tracks or paving on the floor.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported (subject at link
seems to have changed) about 1,240 pro-government (Syrian) forces have been killed in the past 10 days
(by ISIS). The situation in Baghdad is so dire, top military leaders said to have bags packed ready
to flee.
Now, what I think is a much more important subject.
This is an excellent
video that clearly explains my paradigm of why I think nuclear war will start in Pakistan.
(Actually, my paradigm is based upon prophecy - but this gives the external geopolitical
rationalization.)
Mind you - this video wouldn't touch the prophetic reasons with a ten foot pole - and I must also warn
you that the video is a sales pitch to sell stock and make money out of nuclear World War Three - which
I of course think is all ridiculous. BUT - I find its facts dead on. Because the video is a commercial,
it does not have the usual convenient controls, and you can't pause, but if you quit the page it will
then give you an opportunity to read a transcript - which isn't quite as powerful.
Here is a link to an
Official US Government Video about how the US Air Force thinks the US will win a nuclear war.
Forget MAD. This video was not made for the public consumption, but it has now been declassified so we
get to see it. To see the video you have to go to the above page and then scroll down to the one called
"Power of Decision".
Compared to today's technology -
everything in this video is in slow motion. Still, even back then, they expected only a 3 day war.
I found THAT very interesting, because (again based upon prophecy) that is my expectation also.
President Carter thought perhaps an afternoon. In this video,
of course the good guys win.
The video makes NO mention of EMP, SLBMs or Satellites
which would be the main facets today.
Here is
a more realistic but humorous current
view
Sorry about the language. More sorry about the facts, (because they are
correct) and my apologies if I have sent this last video
to you before, but my stupid email program has not kept a copy of my
latest couple of newsletters so
that I could check.
Last week the National Defense Panel published its review of the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR).
Surprise, surprise! The Pentagon says that the US military needs much more money, although the US
military spending exceeds the combined spending of most of the world's militaries, is the
largest the world has ever seen, has enough destructive power to destroy the world many times over, and
has bases in 178 countries in the world.
Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey surveys today's worrying security landscape for FP: "In each region of the world,
we face serious -- but very different -- security challenges, from rising state-to-state tensions in
Asia and Europe to escalating sub-state violence in the Middle East and North Africa. Moreover,
technologies and capabilities once confined to states are moving beyond their control. The result is an
international order under duress with as many things working to pull the world apart as to pull it
together."
You say what?
Now then, here is to me a
curiosity I offer this without further comment, because I understand nothing. Just to let you know
that I follow all the news that I can.
If I were going to write lots
I would write lots about this.
I think the biggest precipitating factor towards world catastrophe is in the geopolitical/financial
world and I can't remember whether or not last time I discussed Russia/China/Germany and the US gold situation.
"The 'reset' gave us a world where Georgia remains illegally occupied, where Poland and the Czech
Republic lack missile defenses, where American parents cannot adopt Russian babies, where Russian
bombers fly within 50 miles of the Pacific coast, where Ukraine is sundered, where the prospects for
ground war in Eastern Europe are high, where Putin says U.S. sanctions against his cronies will take
bilateral relations to a 'dead end.'"
Here at Ark Two
Extremely busy last two weeks for me - doing paper work. Five income tax filings and the Canadian
government passed a law that ALL non-profit corporations have to reorganize by October 17th. They call
it filing for continuance. Has taken me five days just this go around, working on that. Fortunately,
did the bulk of the work two years ago, but all the corporate By-Laws had to be rewritten and
reapproved. Not quite finished.
Seven attempts at trying to get Jean's passport updated. On the last one she was wearing a white blouse
(not allowed). Have new picture, but have to get it signed by guarantor and then another five hour trip
to re-file it plus $185 passport fee required if we want the 10 year passport. Only $120 for five year,
but it wouldn't be 'diplomatic' for me to say she will only last five more years. Also have to make
another pass on my landed immigrant card - with a different agency. Got to the bottom line in my first
attempt and they wanted a hundred dollars that I wasn't expecting. It is costing a bundle today, just
to maintain one's identity. When you add this up over our whole family it is over a thousand dollars.
Considerable costs for corporate identities also.
Lots more that I could talk about, but still and all, on the surface, a quiet week compared to what I
expected. Getting some response for next weekend here at Ark Two, but nothing as much as I would like.
The few of us who get together may have lots to do. If you are willing to join us, please do let me
know.
Peace and love,
