UN Troops captured In Syria three batches of UN troops have been captured/attacked by ISIS. This could be a game changer. Children beheaded Thousands of people reportedly being slaughtered by the Islamic State.This comes to me not only through the news, but now a second source forwarded eye-witness Christian missionary email. Hasn't stirred much response here because until now there haven't been that many Christian children. This may stir something up (like the Iraq incubator thing - if you remember that). Arming Assad in Syria Massive loads of armaments being flown into Lebanon. Reports that some going to Assad Loyalists to help stave off what used to be called ISIS. US fighter planes also assisting by bombing ISIS in Syria. One day one is on one side of the gun and the next day on the other. For Bashar Hafez al-Assad, I would call this an improvement in position. Nothing strange here. One day Germany is your enemy - the next your ally. Same with Japan, etc. Oh, well, so long as there is SOMEONE to fight, the arms manufacturers will do well. Tanks, Humvees and weapons manufactured in the US are being used to fight Humvees and weapons manufactured in the US. No irony in that! Russia on the Run (I think not.) Speaking of keeping track of which side of the net the ball is on, Russia and the US on the same side during World Wars One and Two - and now this week Putin telling the US that Russia DOES HAVE NUKES. (I didn't know that was a secret.) Anyway, NATO (think US) getting ready to move 10,000 troops up to the Ukrainian front. Russians have already. Both just barely putting their toes over the line. You know the dance. First you put your big toe in - then you take your big out - and you shake it all about. There is lots of shaking with the ultimatums being given today, by the US, Russia, China, Iran, the Islamic State, and many others. Malaysian Airliner Refusal of the committee to release to Russia the black box data about the Malaysian airlines raises - (I hate to say it) conspiracy theories that even other governments are responding to. This is a really weird agreement that has been entered into by the withholding countries. Black Suicide Watched the video of the "suicide by cop" in St. Louis, four miles from the Michael Brown incident in the week following. Well, now comes one that reminds me of a story told to me by my dad. Sheriff called coroner about black prisoner who had died in his cell from 22 gunshot wounds in the back. Worst case of suicide he had ever seen, said the coroner. This week a coroner in Louisiana has decreed that Victor White III who died from a gunshot to his side while sitting in the back of a police cruiser with his hands HANDCUFFED BEHIND HIS BACK, was a suicide who intentionally shot himself with a concealed weapon. It is official - so who could possibly doubt that? Are We Guinea Pigs? Although I feel I live in the most fortunate part of the world there are many things that strike at my heart such as the use of torture and things done in other countries in my name as an American. One of the great evils has been the many documented and verified use of people for medical experiments. There are dozens of experiments that I could point you to regarding VA patients, the experiments in Montreal, the use of Native children, prisoners and American troops, plus a long list of others. This one this week, bothered me particularly because of our family involvement with children having autism. As evil as is all this, I suspect that we are all about to experience much worse. I often wonder if we are being used as guinea pigs for things we do not understand, to ends that we do not comprehend. Baby, It is cold outside! And it will be cold inside too for much of Europe, if Russia shuts off the gas this winter. I am concerned about getting wood in for our one little house, because my wife tells me that it is going to be an exceptionally winter. Glad I don't have to worry about a whole continent, like some European leaders must/should be. France may go into Economic free-fall I can't begin to explain that. I don't even begin to understand it. Just repeating reports that I have received. Closer to home is sequestration on Oct 1st. China chipping a-way At most everything. Hong Kong in big demonstrations because China is revoking the democratic trends there. Most everyone around them feels like Big Brother is waving the Big Stick. The new weapons they are demonstrating are quite frosting the Americans and then there was the tussle with the US surveillance aircraft 135 miles outside China's borders. I am sure that the US wouldn't mind China parking surveillance ships and aircraft 135 miles off its coast. The Current State of Things Maybe I should mention that I am getting all sorts of "heads up" about the UK, some sectors of the US government, Israel and others all going on high alert. Some tied to upcoming 9/11, some tied to October dates, and some to other things. Okay, I could go on and on about all sorts of stuff - but I won't. Everyone here can see what is happening in the world. HOWEVER, Jean has asked that I write an article explaining about what is happening in the Middle East, so you know the rule - do as your wife says. I will try to put it together and send a supplementary issue mid-week if I can do it. Back now - to our regularly scheduled programming. The LERN System - Second Part of the Presentation In the first part of this presentation I described the actions that need to be taken on the first day after The Great Catastrophe and in this second part of the presentation I shall describe the preparation for choosing the local administrators for your group. The Second Day After There is nothing magical or cut in stone about the number of days. We could perhaps better call them 'stages', but still it is important to put some concept of time frame and urgency on what we are talking about. These things need to be done very quickly because: a. the need will be great b. other patterns may set in and become ingrained - such as control by some domineering individual. On the other hand it may be that some period of psychological accommodation may be necessary for people to adapt to the initial shock sufficiently that they are able to respond. Whichever. The Third Meeting There will be people at the third meeting that weren't at the second meeting so it will be necessary to start again from the beginning and explain: Introduction We are here to implement a recovery and reconstruction plan that has been designed for a universal catastrophe. All parts of the system have been tested individually in various situations, but it has not been possible to implement the system as a whole because there has never before been a total universal catastrophe. The kernel for this system is recommended for post-nuclear recovery by FEMA. [Final Report of the US Federal Emergency Management Agency study (RR-31 / reprinted March 1990) on "Markets, Distribution, and Exchange After Societal Cataclysm" (pp. 94-95).] At this moment we have three choices: First possible choice: 1. We can do nothing and wait for some government or military agency or someone else to come and organize things for us. Second possible choice: 2. We can implement this plan. Third possible choice: 3. We can implement some other plan - if someone wishes to propose something else. However, we will either control ourselves - or someone else is going to come and control us. If someone wishes to recommend another plan - please speak up. Otherwise let us have a show of hands of all in favor of examining this plan. Okay, we will pause here for a moment so that those who don't wish to examine this plan can have an opportunity to leave. Description of the Plan Our Group This plan is based upon the forming and functioning of local groups of between 100 and 200 people who all live adjacent to each other in one area. Our Area Our area is within these borders [describe]. Our Administrators We will first need to elect 5 or 7 or 9 administrators for our group. (I will describe the election process in the next presentation in this series.) Our Social Contract with Our Administrators Our Administrators' Duties It will be our Administrators' responsibility to: a. Determine and prioritize the group's needs b. Determine solutions for the group's needs c. Provide directions as to how the solutions are to be implemented d. Assign responsibilities and resources for implementing the solutions e. Judge individual conformance with their directives f. Administer sanctions against those who do not conform Our Administrators' Authority We are going to give full and total authority to our Group's Administrators. This means: a. They will make the rules (legislative power) b. They will execute the rules (administrative power) c. They will judge those who violate the rules (judicial power) There is no division of power. No "balance of power". It all rests with the Administrators. Limits to Our Administrators' Authority a. NO administrator will have individual authority all decisions are made by majority vote of the administrators b. ALL administrators are limited in term in office - and cannot be re-elected without an intervening term c. All rules, statements of Principle, and such, passed by the administrators - must have a sunset clause. Next week I hope to write about what has occurred to this point and to report any concerns, suggestions, or speculations, that I have received, about what may happen in regards to the process as I have described it. Next week I also plan to describe the Administrators’ first meeting. Meanwhile - Back at Ark Two With the world in such turmoil, I sometimes have feelings of guilt living in such a peaceful pleasant location with so many caring family and friends and so much bounty. The slide shows of the children refugees especially tug at me and I certainly don't watch anything like the videos of the beheadings. I have a strange sleep pattern, but I often lie there just feeling the immensity of God's love sweeping over and around me. I don't think only about those things which I write about here. While I don't watch movies, don't even have a TV, and certainly never go out to a movie (not that I wouldn't love to if there was one that I thought worthwhile.) Grandchildren recommend to me movies, such as Dr. Who, that I am sure that I would really enjoy - but I don't have that kind of time. The three things that I most enjoy on the Internet are: "random acts of kindness" (Google that one) Mozart (my favorite composer) Talent Show Finalists- (Have you seen the shadows or the the first one) There are many inspirational things on the Internet. So much that I can't begin to look at but a fraction of them, but this is one that I have sent to a grandson and two other young friends. These links are all so beautiful to me that they brought tears to my eyes. (I used to think that I was the only person that strangely wired - but now I know that it is common.) The frequency and intensity of world changing events has become so great that I am no longer pleading with people to come to Ark Two. I think that the changes in the next few weeks will be so rapid and so intense that they would not be able to make it here. Marvelous times that we live in - as we see God working His Purpose out. Doing the unthinkable? If you're a "member" of SAFE, you realize that we have certain preparedness goals, various resources, and several challenges to achieve our objectives. Many people who have volunteered their precious time have done some pretty amazing things for SAFE. Many STLs have gone that extra mile to organize their state membership. Others have assisted in vital organizational areas, and continue to do so. Nevertheless, progress toward creating a more viable network among members has, at least in my opinion, fallen flat! Many, many, members routinely contact me with complaints of little or no help from their STL. Other members too often describe lack of updated member data. Other members describe such difficulty forming small community based networks! OK, this is where things get a little weird. Most, and I mean most, organizations usually exist at the expense of other organizations. Their chief aim is to differentiate themselves from all the other prepper type groups! Since our members are facing so much resistance to growth, and simply waiting around for the "big whatever" isn't accomplishing anything either; my advice would be for as many of us as possible to start looking at other groups in order to bond with like minded neighbors! That's sort of like committing organizational heresy! But I know that any of you who are committed to SAFE's basic premise will recognize the wisdom in looking out for yourself first. Just because you find like minded folks outside of SAFE doesn't mean that you automatically forsake SAFE! What I'm saying is that it's so important for as many of us as possible to create a viable, personal network - right now - no matter where you have to go to do it. SAFE's basic appeal will still be there. We will still be here. Just be wise about who you associate with! Exercise prudent caution regarding ethics, values, morals, and objectives. And get connected ASAP! Perhaps that way, we will continue to improve our over all situation. Stay SAFE.
