Steady as she goes

These lid things -
if they are real -
are great. Lots of detail all week long
on confrontations
back and forth
between Arabs and Arabs,
between Arabs and Europeans,
between Arabs and Israelis.
A few solid strikes.
Lots of bombs, kite fires and such.
Less than a hundred reported killed
(I don't know how good the stats are)
world-wide.
Today, we consider that a peaceful week,
although lots pressure building up
with shootings of police and
unarmed blacks.
All sorts of nasties against Trump -
but he has certainly gotten in his licks
this week, also.
As they said -
a lid until the 1st of July -
and then -
maybe a couple of weeks.

Ark Two Yesterday was the absolutely
quietest day in years.
I started to say months.
But it has been years.
Slight threat of rain -
had the doors open -
but no traffic -
especially no motorcycles
of which there are usually dozens.
Jean away with our daughter and son -
for outing for her birthday.
Total silence in the house without Jemma.
I got a lot of work done --
and today continuing quite quiet -
although meals to get for Jean.
