This newsletter is Copyleft:
and may be used by anyone.
and first thing I did
was start answering an email
and it turned into this newsletter.
Back from emerg at 6a.m.
from getting the catheter out.
Passed out while driving back.
First time that has ever happened.
Lots of on-coming traffic -
but I was able to pull over on the shoulder,
and almost stop -
until I could shake it off.
Never went completely out -
just so very, very dizzy
that I couldn't steer
or control the car.
I have been quite sick the last two weeks.
First serious food poisoning
which brought on the BPH
which required the catheter -
which brought on lower back pain
so I couldn't pick anything up -
and could hardly move.
Videographer here for the last three weeks
and my health and the weather
put a real crimp in our activities.
Grandkids came with our daughter
for one day of shooting -
and a photographer came another day
for Colors Magazine in Italy -
and hired a guy to move around lights -
(because neither generator is working)
so those were the only two days
that we got to shoot at the shelter.
We did shoot a bit outside another day -
and once over at Bob's the radio engineer - and another day with Toomas and Yakov
who came to work on the radio here,
although they wouldn't appear in the video.
(They are to come back again on Saturday.)
We got another couple of days of shooting
inside at the house -
because of the rain - and my health -
because about all I could do was sit -
and that was it for the shooting in three weeks.
The world works in mysterious ways.
We still have the scripts complete -
and I have come to better understand
some of the technical details -
so I hope to shoot
and mail additional shooting
to Victoria (the video editor)
who is heading back to South Carolina.
The radio was actually working
when we videoed and photographed it
with Bob the Engineer at his lab.
(Colors Magazine was also there
for that photo-op.)
However, we are awaiting the arrival
from Rob in AR -
some higher powered transistors.
And wouldn't you know -
I have had a sudden breakthrough/insight
in my thinking as to how to greatly improve it.
It is a radical change -
and I don't know if I can sell the others -
Bob, Adam, Darlene, Toomas, Yakov -
(who have all been working on it)
on making the change.
Haven't yet convinced any of them about it -
and it may be too big a change for our project -
but it would make the present simple operation -
still much simpler.
Lots of little things attack one in life.
Lawnmower broke and way more expensive
to repair replacement than we had planned.
Some crises in the family realm -
and more than I can keep up with
on a number of projects -
but looking at the donut
rather than at the hole -
life is good.
We need a special belt
(if such exists)
to hook up The Presto Wind
hand-powered generator
that arrived from Tim in Ohio.
Hauled it and the Stairmaster downtown -
and now need to take them over to Barrie.
(Not sure when).
As I stated in the previous newsletter -
I am far from catching up with
Mark on the TEAM Leader structure -
Rich on the Wordpress Blog Template
for all the State TEAM Leaders -
Rob on the FaceBook Template
for all the State TEAM Leaders -
Carl on the mail list database structure
and upload procedure to Mad Mimi -
and Wendy is supposed to call me this evening
about the enrollment program.
I am also behind in coordination
with the people working on the novelettes.
Feel that they are a bit behind -
and that I should be getting more feedback.
May be writer's block.
Good news about the no-fly list.
Someone was able to check it
and tell me that I am not on it.
But I still have strange experiences
at the borders.
I am sort of going over items
in the previous newsletter.
People still continue to stress
about Fukushima.
This week it was a Blue Dolphin
that swam the Pacific -
but once again I try to assure them
the level of radiation was way below
anything to be concerned about.
Previous newsletter I said
I think Japan has greater problems for sure.
Lack of electric generation.
The price of oil.
The reduction of industry -
brought about by world recession -
the damage to its infrastructure by the Tsunami -
the struggle with NK and China.
This week, today - we saw the Japanese Stock Market
plunge to a twenty-eight year low.
Neither have other countries' problems diminished.
There is not a day -
that I don't receive several news items
saying that the Euro and Europe
are about to collapse.
And not a day -
but news items saying the problem has been solved.
The thing that I am realizing
is that I can tell nothing about what is reported -
until a couple of months afterwards.
For the last year
I have noticed a continuous stream
of main stream media HEADLINE reports -
of the nature that -
employment is up -
unemployment is down -
and other Good News reports -
that two months later -
are followed by small notes in news articles
that say:
"The final figures
for the month of "_____" now show
that it did not meet earlier expectations
and the preliminary figures have been revised."
Makes little difference.
The figures all seem phony to me anyway.
Unemployment is down -
because great numbers are no long eligible
for unemployment insurance -
and they were the only ones that counted.
The rest just don't have jobs.
And many that do get jobs -
get crummy jobs.
Times are good -
for those who have money.
Labor is cheap -
prices on goods are very competitive -
supply is oversupply if anything.
But the world that we live in
seems insane to me.
The cry is to increase consumer confidence -
to increase consumption -
to increase demand -
to produce more and more -
while at the same time worrying about
the depletion of scarce resources
like oil and such.
The price of oil is another good news item.
It is certainly dropping -
if we can't say plummeting.
(Supposedly result of economic warfare
by Saudi Arabia - and allies -
against Iran.)
However, with it going down -
I am not seeing a great reduction
in price of gasoline at the pumps.
Government here loves high gas prices -
because they make a percentage off them in taxes.
Whatever all these factors are
and however they interact
we can only keep pedaling.
People for years
have been after me to try to implement
various TESLA plans that they have received.
I have read dozens of such proposals.
They have all seemed chimera to me -
however -
this week an explanation of the TESLA theory
that is the best I have ever seen.
Still, no practical way to implement it -
but I find it very insightful
so I am going to share it with you.

Back to bed -
but up again -
to try to get out the newsletter.
May be too dizzy to finish it now.
Don't know what happened.
That didn't work the first time.
Peace and love,
Bruce
