Internet is a window on the world.
Kings of the world 200 years ago
had nothing that approaches it.
They waited weeks for news from
some sources. Until electricity and the radio
our own parents
waited days for the paper
to be delivered to the farm
bringing information usually two weeks old.
Even fifty years ago
no president of the US
had equivalent news sources
BUT today I often wonder
about the reliability of what I see and hear.
Still it is like living in a tall high-rise
and looking out the window.
In the far distance I see dark clouds
that I am told are from an approaching forest fire,
or world conflagration..
On the nearer horizon there is a great refuse dump -
that has been growing for weeks.
It is amazing how high the mountain is growing
as truck after truck comes and dumps its load
about how Trump is going to be impeached.
More immediately on the street below -
there seem to be several separate brawls among rowdies -
but the police are gathering in force
apparently planning to confront one of them.
Still in my apartment -
life is serene.
The refrigerator is well stocked.
The neighbors are calm and peaceful.
Life seems good.
Nothing seems any different
in looking out the window -
than it has for weeks.
In the news this week -
word is still that Israel on alert
for the biggest battle in decades.
Turkey in turmoil -
over collapse of its dollar.
Likewise Venezuela and perhaps Brazil.
Certainly Iran.
Struggles in Syria.
Rumblings in Russia.
Confrontations in China.
Politics in Pakistan.
Nothing much different
than it has been for weeks.
Still glad to be in a window -
high above the scene.
Thankful for another day of serenity.

India upgraded its anti-missile defense, how will India respond?

Since Pakistans nuclear first strike policy is unknown

(which is a part of their nuclear deterrence, probably derived from budget constrains)

what will they do when they suddenly find their first strike capacity threatened?

The Privthi system has already been in place, for short- to medium-range launches, and considered as a deterrence against fielding tactical nuclear weapons by Pakistan.

Now less than a week ago, the Indians have been testing an Advanced Area Defense Missile, which can be used for medium- to long-range.

While those measures are officially only for defensive purposes, i.e. to defend against incoming ballistic missiles, their ability to transport a payload of 500-1000 kg makes them just as feasible to devastate Pakistani Nuclear or other installations in a decapacitating first strike.

What does Pakistan have in store for this threat? Have they already considered what counter-counter-measures they will take?

It remains to be seen whether Pakistan has more to offer than their 'dead-hand' approach of telling noone when and then how much it would use nuclear weapons.

Unfortunately, the powers that be consider that prudent.
But time will tell if that won't be the flash-point for WWIII.

Once Nuclear Weapons are used between India and Pakistan, it will be 'use it or lose it' for all other nuclear-armed nations.
With the resulting catastrophic consequences, breakdown of agriculture and so forth, changing from being to be avoided at all cost to a necessary collateral damage in the end-game gambit that plays out on this planet.
