A Difficult Definition
Some of you folks
are going to have to help me
with this.
If after you read my explanation -
you disagree with me -
then I MOST DEFINITELY wish to hear
your reason why.
Robert Reich, (former Secretary of Labor -
under President Clinton) stated this week:
- Trump must respect
independence of the Intelligence agencies _
or otherwise the US becomes a banana republic.
: "It is an abuse of power for a president
to tell the CIA
to investigate someone or something."
I TOTALLY disagree
and I will explain why.
I have considered Reich,
at least for the last several years,
to be an insightful Statesman,
providing clear and unbiased analysis
of the motives and positions taken
by the US Government
I thought Reich one of "the good guys",
and now once again I find a guiding light
to have feet of clay.
The reason being that:
the Intelligence Agencies are the main arm
of policy execution
by The Deep State.
They in turn have gained control over the MSM,
which has become their main propaganda arm.
As a by-thought it is curious that last week
there was attached to the Defense Budget bill,
a statement saying that the Intelligence Agencies
have the legal right
to lie to, mislead, and generally propagandize
the total citizenry of the US.
Not that they haven't been doing so -
for decades -
but there have been laws on the books
saying that they were not to do so.
There is no pretense now -
that the public can know -
or should ever know anything of Truth.
Probably started happening around 1984.
When DJT said he was going to drain The Swamp -
that did set the teeth of the Intelligence Agencies on edge -
and now here is The Swamp Monster speaking out,
iLOUDLY and repetitiously in the media and everywhere.
INDEPENDENCE of the Intelligence Agencies!
Pray tell, if the Administration
is not going to control them -
who is?
The US Congress?
Hah! The heads of the Agencies appear before the US Congress -
and bare face lie -
and nothing happens to them.
The US Supreme Court?
I am all in favor of Independent Council -
and it would be fine with me
if the US Supreme Court
were to create and appoint Independent Council
as amicus curiae (friend of the court)
although it is not to my knowledge
that they ever have.
AND I don't see anywhere that
the US Supreme Court
is about to take the initiative of controlling
the Intelligence Agencies - which are
the action arm of
The Deep Estate
The Deep State
The Deep Government
The Hidden Government
The Shadow Government
(The Devil has many names)
Perhaps The Fourth Estate will control it?
According to Google:
"In the American political system,
the fourth branch of government refers to
a group that influences the three branches of government
defined in the American Constitution
(legislative, executive and judicial).
Such groups can include the press
(an analogy for the Fourth Estate),
the people, and interest groups.
U.S. independent administrative government agencies,
while technically part of the executive branch
(or, in a few cases, the legislative branch)
of government,
are sometimes referred to as being part of the fourth branch."
As to the Fourth Estate - (the MSM)
it is pretty well a given that it is controlled by
the Deep State through the Intelligence Agencies.
Who then?
Help me out here.
I am pretty much running out of branches of government -
and I don't see anywhere in the US Constitution
that the Intelligence Agencies
are an independent branch of the US Government.
I wish that I had a direct line to Robert Reich.
I would like him to explain this to me.
I see media statements stating that he feels
that Donald doesn't understand the Constitution.
Yet, the Constitution is something that
is supposed to be able to be understood
by high school students
if not grade school students.
If the Intelligence Agencies are NOT controlled
by the Executive Branch
where the President is even
Commander in Chief of the Military -
then pray tell who are they CONTROLLED by?
NO ONE - they will tell you.
THEY are INDEPENDENT.
(Well, except from those who control
The Deep State.)
Yeah, Robert,
that is too much for Donald to understand.
Or me, with a graduate degree in Political Science.
Maybe our previous president,
Nobel Peace Prize Winner and all,
(he didn't have to accept that one)
being a legal scholar,
and former editor of a prestigious Law Journal -
who thought it okay to capture and execute
US Citizens without a court order -
would understand it.
Yes, you and he have apparently reached
the conclusion that the Shadow Government is Independent.
JFK perhaps didn't agree
when he tried to control J. Edgar in the FBI.
Some think the CIA set him straight.
US Senators have warned The Donald also -
that he doesn't want to mess with the CIA -
or that it will set him straight also.
I wish The Donald no ill -
but my inclination is to say to him -
"Go for it Donald."
Independent Counsel is good -
and there is one force to keep the straight.
Whistle Blowers.
We know where the end up.
Usually in jail.
The MSM had always made sure
the American public doesn't like whistle blowers.
They are always made out to be criminals and traitors,
for saying that there is something rotten in America.
To draw a parallel.
If a peeping tom were to witness a rape and murder -
and to report it -
the papers, the courts, the people
would do nothing but go on about how terrible it is
to be a peeping tom -
and the murderer of the crime would go unpunished
and the evilness of his deed undiscussed.
So then,
the papers, the politicians, the public,
are just going to blame Trump -
and the actions of the Swamp Monster
will go unpunished.
The event that brought all this to the fore
this week was that The Donald said
that he would like the CIA and FBI
to investigate the July 10, 2016 murder of Seth Rich
the reputed whistle blower (peeping tom) on the DNC
(Democratic National Committee)
(Hillary's emails,etc).
Killed in broad daylight,
while walking home early from work on Sunday -
supposedly by robbers.
Shot in the back -
and as his mother said -
"The robbers took nothing but his life.
"
Wallet, jewelry, and other valuables all left.
It is all conspiracy theory says RR,
and the MSM.
Just like the idea that there was anyone
on the grassy knoll -
or any shooter beside Oswald -
with JFK -
because the Independent Warren Commission
said so.
Just that one magic bullet.
Nope - says the MSM -
nothing to look at here.
Please move along -

actually do know who leaked the DNC

But, Robert Reich
says it is wrong for DJT
to request the matter be investigated.
That it is unconstitutional. Etc.
I don't see it.
I have told you why.
I think it is just Deep State manipulation of the news.
Saying that it was Russia -
manipulating the election
and that The Donald was in cahoots with them.
If you disagree -
PLEASE explain why I am wrong -

the US Navy is gear up for
its first tri-aircraft carrier training drills
(in more than a decade)
this weekend somewhere in the Western Pacific.
"The four-day exercise involving the
USS Ronald Reagan,
USS Nimitz and
USS Theodore Roosevelt
(the three most powerful carrier)
strike groups will start Saturday
to “demonstrate the U.S. Navy’s
unique capability to operate multiple carrier strike groups
as a coordinated strike force effort,”
a Navy statement said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman
Hua Chunying addressed the drills
during a press conference this week in Beijing,
saying the U.S. and North Korea
should avoid escalating tensions in the region.
So that is China's (and Russia's
and NK's opinion)
but Donald will do what Donald will do.
But think about it -
(The largest such drill in ten years).

The Sunday church shooting

near the Golan Heights in Syria.

being shut down by the DOJ.

5. Russia is displaying its new Satan Missile
which has 12 warheads.....
each warhead has massive destructive power.
6. The U.S. has placed 80 thousand plus troops
in and around North Korea.
(That is a lot of people to make dinner for.)
7. Russian subs are ringing Great Britain....
and are more active than ever in the Atlantic.
Just so much news -
as usual I can't keep up with it.
That RT shutdown deserves a newsletter
all of its own.
It is under a law called
the FARA which was adopted in the US in 1938
to counter pro-Nazi agitation.

“They will use a nuclear weapon
first in order to show us how serious it is,
figuring that we will then de-escalate.
I think the odds of that happening are quite small.

Once again, Bruce certainly does not see it that way.

Never did get wood cut -

It is a killer however,
