SAFE Ark Two Newsletter
September 23rd, 2012
There is Acceleration of Activity
Still a lot of military activity being reported (but not in MSM).
Departing groups of aircraft spotted flying out one after the other
along with troop departures and so forth. Nothing immediate, I wouldn't
think, but the timing may be more for that period between Oct 9th and
30th. Not necessarily then either, but may be preparation just in case. I
don't see any sense in threatening Iran, Syria, North Korea or China.
They haven't responded positively to threats.
It is such a long growing list of areas of confrontations that I don't
want to repeat them again. Something will happen. Something is always
happening. Just don't know that it will be all that serious.
People may not prepare - but the government prepares. In the level of
events that I listed in the Special Newsletter that I sent to you
earlier this week there was a common thread about increasig government
response.
Here are some links presented in a particular order to explain about
some government preparation that began (or continued) in March of this
year.
This first link is a view that I commonly hear.
Video of Expressed Concerns
This next is a link to a Government Source to verify the existence of the discussed document.
This is the document itself. Yes, I have read the entire document.
Here is an interpretation
regarding the significance of the document that differs substantially
from that given in the above video presentation. You can decide for
yourself.
Yes, the government has a plan for COG -
(Continuity of Government)
and response to the Collapse of Society.
What would you prefer that they do?
|
I don't think they have an adequate plan.
Men plan and mice plan -
but as Robert Burns said -
the plans of both mice and men -
often go astray.
The real issue here is whether or not you have a plan.
While the above has been causing a bit of a stir
(but of course not in the MSM) it is actually nothing new -
but reflects the nature of our times.
More new and possibly more significant is THIS week's legal activity (again not in MSM).
Still receiving panicked concern about radiation from Fukushima. The following headline
Rain with 20,000,000 particles of radioactive iodine-131 per liter fell on US during post-Fukushima peak is an example.
If you read the article in the link, you will find that -
in the first place - Becquerel's are not absorbed dose -
but rather disintegrations of particles -
and we are working in a volume of billions -
possibly trillions or more.
As a percentage - the number is relatively insignificant.
The article states:
"for example, in the rain water we collected in 18 hours between March
17 and March 18 we observe an activity of the isotope of I-131
(Iodine-131) of 4.26 Bq/l. At this level, you would need to drink 632
liters of this rain water to obtain the same radiation effects you
obtain on a round-trip flight between San Francisco and Washington D.C.
Therefore, the increase in radiation levels in the rain water due to the
events in Japan remain extremely small."
People do have problems separating REAL concerns from imagined concerns.
(Possibly true of myself). Anyway, I was sympathetic to a family that
showed up this week and were concerned that the world was going to end
on the Fall Equinox (Sept. 21st). I reviewed with them their proofs and
while my explanations seemed to somewhat calm their fears - I told them
they could use the shelter. I have had many similar experiences at
different times with different people regarding p prophecies/predictions
based upon what some charismatic minister has said, or some
astrological predictions, or a variety of scientific or political
reasoning's.
On the radio scene - a good advance this week in that Carlton verified
the current software compile so that we may go forward in trying to make
the modifications.
I still continue to receive suggestions about our total hardware
approach. Here is an interesting one to examine. I would say it would
cost less than fifty dollars.
A picture of a build it yourself.
It is very similar to what we are doing and not nearly so involved. It
has about a tenth of the number of components as ours but unfortunately
less than half the functionality. The problem is that it is receive
only.
On our own radio the schematics are now complete. Adam has modularized
them. There are 8 separate schematics and we plan to print one or two of
them here each week until you have it all. You can save the image and
enlarge it up to a gigantic size so that they will be very readable. We
welcome all the engineers out there doing that and giving us any
suggestions that they may have for improvement.
As we progress we plan to also publish the board layouts that Adam will
be doing from these. Adam is going to lay them out on the collective
board in that same modular format so anyone ever needing to repair a
board would be able to easily identify which module was which in
relation to the schematic, as well as which module was not working.
People are welcome to self assemble their own radio from what we are
providing. The way the world is going we may be fortunate to get even
that far along on this project.
We are designing this system like neither an amateur device, nor a
commercial device. Both of those approaches would cut corners. In an
amateur device the goal would often be to simplify the electronics and
in a commercial device to use less expensive components. In our
throw-away economy/world, pc boards are made very thin and electronic
runs as narrow as possible to make the devices as small and light as
possible. This cuts down on costs, shipping, manufacturing requirements
and in other ways makes the device less expensive, more competitive and
more marketable. It does not make it more durable and reliable. The
latter is our goal.
The following is the order that the modules are in the overall schematic and the order that I will be uploading them in:
1. Audio Pre-Amp
2. Output Modulator
3. Output Stage
4. Output Amp
5. Switching
6. Antenna Pre-Amp
7. Input Demodulator
8. Audio Out Amp
9. Overall schematic
Here is the Audio Pre-Amp schematic for this newsletter.
The radio project is in trouble. We are running short of funds. Beyond
the original quote that was a scam and took our money - the lowest
legitimate quote that I got for the phase that we are now completing was
60K, and we have made many improvements to that original design, so if
we had done it in a conventional manner the overruns would have made the
cost even greater to this point. However, we have reached this far by
the contributions of effort by many volunteers and by an immense effort
of finding other solutions.
Nevertheless, although we struggle on we are going to need more funds to
complete the project. I was hoping to pay for this out of earnings from
book sales - but those have been practically nil. I feel very badly
that we have not been able to fulfill the original promise as to time
and cost. Initially we had hoped to just buy the board designs from the
predecessor design but while the circuit was public domain the owner of
the board design did not want to sell to us, and although he has done
nothing with it I did not want to make a Chinese copy. So we redesigned
and improved, but it has seemed to be taking forever.
A number of our Ark Two Newsletter readers have suggested that I include a donation button on the newsletter. I may discuss that next time. It is something that I have been reluctant to do.
The biggest problem with the radio is that in order to make the net
work, we will need LOTS of participants and so far there has been little
public interest in SAFE and our network. We rely upon God's timing.
It is true that any advanced Ham can communicate with someone who is
using our radios, but the reverse is not true. Our radios will work on
only one band and in one phase and we will not be able to communicate
across the broad spectrum that Hams use. We will only be able to
communicate with others who have one of our radios or Hams who are
willing to talk to us on our frequencies.
If there does prove to be time to complete the project - and if a great
number of others join us, this is certainly the best solution that we
have been able to determine for communication. We are still on target to
be able to produce the individual units for $200, and the next best
choice would be a much, much more complicated Ham rig for around $1500,
although the latter would admittedly provide the potential for many more
capabilities, such as voice and Morse code if one were willing to learn
to use them.
I am also having problems with the novel writing project although we did
make some good advance on that this week. I do hope that several more
of you will volunteer to help with this important tool for attracting
people to our cause.
Lots of good things at Ark Two this week. Two officers and a lady
soldier came from Camp Borden and brought in the plants for the winter,
put water in the storage batteries, and washed our windows and put up
the storms.
A niece has been letting Jean pick her garden this week and already Jean
has put up 8 quart jars of tomato sauce with still another full bushel
to do.
Jean went to the Church rummage sale yesterday and brought back about
three or four hundred dollars worth of clothes all for $15. A dress suit
that she needed. She didn't have one. Some good winter coats. Some
shoes for me and running pants that I am required to wear for the stress
test in the morning. The latter was the purpose of her trip.
Tomorrow afternoon after the four hour stress test - I then have a
meeting with the radio engineer. If the days were three times as long I
might get my emails off to the novel writers, work with Carlton and
Darlene on the radio software, do the filming Victoria wants me to do
for YouTube, start working on the woodpile shelter for winter, and get
some of the things done that Jean wants me to do. At least life isn't
boring.
Peace and love,
Bruce
