What is Important
The missiling of the Malaysian airliner has been prominent in the news.
Ala Christine Lagarde type of numerology
this is a Malaysian/Masonic tragedy/conspiracy.
Both of the only two 777s owned by Malaysia.
777=3x7=21=2+1=3 so both are 33 = the dark symbol of 33rd degree Masonry.
That is certainly not my view -
but there is much talk about how the Malaysian airliner tragedy increases the threat of conflict with
Russia. Remember the Maine, Lusitania, and Pueblo,
The other prominent news item has been the conflict in Gaza/Palestine.
These are just new attention getters of the day.
The cumulative deaths in South America and Africa
with ongoing deaths in Syria and Iraq
and many other places,
as ISIS and the rest of the Muslims continue to destroy each other,
will certainly far surpass the number killed in the airliner.
Airliners have been shot down before:
—Oct. 20, 1998: Rebels in eastern Congo shoot down a Congo Airlines passenger jet. 40 died.
—Sept. 22, 1993: Abkhazian rebels in Georgia shoot down a passenger plane. 80 died.
—Sept. 21, 1993: Abkhazian rebels in Georgia shoot down Russian Tu-134. 28 died.
—July 3, 1988: U.S. warship Vincennes shoots down Iranian passenger jet. 290 died.
—April 10, 1988: Afghan guerrillas shoot down a Soviet-built passenger jet. 29 died.
—Sept. 1, 1983: Soviet fighter jet shoots down a Korean Air Lines (New York to Seoul) passenger jet.
269 died.
—April 20, 1978: Soviet MiG fighter attacks South Korean jetliner carrying 110 people. 2 died.
—Feb. 21, 1973: Air Force Phantom jets attack Libyan Airlines Flight 114 (Tripoli to Cairo). 108 died.
|
I have not included in the above:
July 17, 1996 TWA 800 out of NY in which eye witnesses say they observed a missile hitting it – and
about which the investigation has been reopened. 230 died.
Nor have I included the airliner terrorist bombings/events, some of which such as Lockerbie and those
involved in 9/11 were horrendous,
but for the most part there have been relatively few compared to the hype about the terrorist threat.
The ongoing slaughter over the years - of children from previously undetonated land mines, and many
other tragedies of war far surpass the headlined tragedies like the Malaysian planes, but neither the
press nor the public seem to ever put things into perspective. Especially regarding threats in the
world – as we face our greatest threat ever regarding nuclear World War Three.
Conference Report
The conference was a great success. The organizers did an absolutely tremendous job. Double last years
attendance as anticipated, but in reality - given the quality of the events and the preparations made,
we should have had five times the number attending. We could have handled that many more, but didn't
expect them. In that we weren't disappointed. Public apathy remains immense.
The presentations were fabulous and Jean remarked how marvelous all the people were. They were truly a
great bunch of people. The pictures below don't give you a real feel for the event. Because so much was
going on - always at least two locations simultaneously - you never see the whole crowd. Moreover - at
Ark Two itself you felt surrounded by tents and cars. We prepared a separate parking lot to handle
two-hundred cars and while I am told some used it, I never got over to see it, but many just parked
near the events.
 The Conference Stage
Our conference stage is actually our loading dock. The grey building at the back is the UAL Time
Capsule, and the white plastic draped over it was for the evening movie. Towards evening many sat
around campfires out in front of the stage and socialized while waiting for the movie to start after
dark.
|
Presentations in the Hall were on both levels. This is the smaller lower level. The crowd is at the
front and this mainly shows behind them. There were dozens of presentations. Jean particularly enjoyed
the canning session which was on a new method that she hadn't learned from her mother. One is never too
old to learn.

 Archery
|
There was always a line up for the archery instruction by the excellent instructors, with dozens
watching and more that wished to participate than could be served.
Also very popular were Karen's herbaculture nature walks. We have an immense number of varieties in
Darlene's permaculture garden |
Not everyone wanted to watch the rabbit skinning. If you have never seen it done, it isn't done anyway
that you would imagine. (In front of the fellow in the red shirt.) This was hands on also, and a first
time experience for many. Cooking was done later over an open fire.
There was also snare building and the building of a rocket stove - which I then received as a gift. |

There were more sessions and subjects than one could possibly attend. I personally got to attend very
few and there were some that I really wish that I could have, such as orienteering using GPS.

Current Events
From my previous newsletters, you know that I have been pointing at WHAT IS IMPORTANT regarding
critical dates and events to expect this month. Not to say that the Malaysian Airliner tragedy, or
something like it, couldn't be the kindling event, just like the Maine ( Spanish–American War),
Lusitania (entry of the US into WW1), Pueblo (North Korea), assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand
of Austria (WW1 which started a month later)
and other kindling events, but that most people remain unaware of VERY IMPORTANT EVENTS while watching
the three ring circus media events being noised.
At the time of my writing this - it is still too early to see the 2:00pm Saturday web event that is
supposed (Hah!) to prevent WW3. (refer to previous newsletter)
Tomorrow, Sunday, July 20 is IMF Head Christine Lagarde's magic day the significance of which she
couldn't know about when she announced it in the video on January 15th at the National Press Club. It
is also the US and Israel's magic day because it is the Red Line deadline demanded by Israel for the
Expiration of The Joint Plan of Action (JPA) that took effect on 20 January.
The US chief negotiator Wendy Sherman, undersecretary of State for political affairs; Deputy Secretary
of State Bill Burns; Jake Sullivan, Vice President Joe Biden’s national security adviser; are all at
the negotiating conference with Iran and even occasionally even Secretary Kerry. Ali Hosseini Khamenei
is the current Supreme Leader of Iran, who said he wouldn't get involved, but has been involved all
week with detailed technical speeches about Iran's nuclear activity.
The negotiations have been extended to Wednesday, the 24th, but no matter - I don't see how they can be
successful and whether or not they reach an "agreement" the issue is how Israel interprets the
agreement and how it privately feels about it.
Libya would be making massive headlines right now - if it were not for everything going on elsewhere.
So would the Ukraine even without the Malaysian airliner, but the most potent potential confrontation
of the moment remains ISIS (now called the Islamic State) and Iran / Syria / Iraq. In my previous
newsletter I pointed to July 28th through to August 7th, and my reasons for believing this, so I won't
belabor it now because I could write a full newsletter on the subject.
Egypt is trying to broker a truce between Hamas and Israel - but so far without success. Another
subject to which I could devote an entire newsletter.
The MOST IMPORTANT NEWS this past week, in my opinion, stems from the July 15th through 17th meeting of
the leaders of the BRICS (an association of five emerging economies that include Brazil, Russia, India,
China, and South Africa) at their Summit in Brazil.
Xi Jinping, the president of China made several significant announcements, in meeting with the leaders
of the other nations, about how they were no longer going to allow the US to be the reserve currency
for the world.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, in their first one-on-one meeting
in the Brazilian resort city of Fortaleza on Monday, spoke about resolving a border dispute that has
strained ties between the two countries for decades (reportedly in Hindustan Times, The Financial
Express, Livemint, Times of India, The Hindu). Modi said if the two nations amicably resolve the border
issue, it would set an example for the world on peaceful conflict resolution. Xi called for a
"negotiated resolution" to the boundary dispute "at an early date."
As the leaders of the world's most populated nations (and over half the world's population) come
together
with Russia, Brazil, and other associated BRICS nations,
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India said: "Even a child in India if asked to say who is India's
best friend will reply it is Russia because Russia has been with India in times of crisis."
So what is the US position on all this? Even before the Ukraine/Malaysian event the US this week
INDEPENDENTLY (that is - aside from the EU) imposed further sanctions on Russia. Putin's response was
to visit Cuba
and reopen the old US listening post. Listening is good. The NSA does a lot of listening, but someone
is not getting someone's message. Economic wars often precede physical wars and are the cause of them,
but the war games do go on as China's military will take part in an infantry exercise for
the FIRST TIME with US forces.
There is so much more about WHAT IS IMPORTANT, but so much is happening in this time period leading up
to August 7th, that I cannot go into any depth about it. If I have the opportunity to write another
newsletter next week then I shall write more about the remaining dates in this time period, but in the
interim I shall have to just refer you back to my previous newsletter. I had lots more written for this
newsletter, but just had to take it out because it is already so overly long. The key, at least for
those nearby, is to come and help prepare at Ark Two.
Activities at Ark Two
The activity here at Ark Two is of course intense with so much to do and so few to do it. As suggested
we made an effort to find interns. In spite of my paying for our ad for interns to be on top on
Kijiji, nothing came from it. About a hundred hits on Kijiji but no inquiries. Same with the supposed
free listing on '20 job forums' and elsewhere such as at schools.
Not to say that we don't get some great help here. Ed repaired the fence at the compound. Robert did a
great job around the Bahj'i Memorial. Jim and Brenndan are making a heroic effort on the CAT generator.
Dave said today that the schematic and parts list is ready for Adam to start laying out the radio
amplifier circuit board.
Sameen is coordinating the Ark Two Directors TEAM, which is comprised of eleven very dynamic
ladies:
Bahi'a -- my daughter that you saw on national geographic
Colleen -- coordinator of the largest Toronto preppers group - over 1400 members
Darlene -- our radio software programmer and Permaculture gardener
Francisca -- (Cisca) wife of the coordinator of the second largest Ontario preppers group
Jean -- my long suffering wife of over half a century
Jeanette -- wife of prepper Fred who has been with Ark Two for over a quarter century
Karen -- Herbaculturist and writer on the subject
Lisa -- Our Canadian Ham Coordinator
Melinda -- Our data base manager
Paty -- A business lady and supporter of our activities for a number of years
Sameen -- The emergency coordinator at a Canadian university
We hope to add a couple more ladies to our directors. This is not a facade. Because of the nature of
Ark Two's mission as an underground orphanage in time of catastrophe, it is our intent that it be fully
directed by the women.
We need lots of help from men also. I would like to tell you about our many ongoing projects, but once
again there is too much.
Life remains enjoyable here. Noticing coming up our walk this week that Jean's lilies were in bloom.
Always something different every few weeks. Tulips, poppies, and two or three other varieties. She
loves her garden and animals. And the animals love her. Right to her feet whenever there is a storm.
This week, she awoke from sleeping when the cat jumped on her bed with a live mouse. Hilarity ensued,
on my part.
This week was her time in emergency for four hours from slamming the car door on her finger. She had
pressed the lock and couldn't get it back out. I wasn't there. She does need help, if some lady reader
would like to be part of Ark Two.
Peace and love,

Greetings SAFE Team!
A good life is not a trouble free life! Rather than running or trying to avoid what life throws at us,
we are way better off learning to deal with such things head on! There's no shortage of problems,
regardless of whether we are focused on trends foreign or domestic - things are certainly heating up.
|
I'm not sure just what exactly it will take to shift people from passive observers to active
participants in their own schematic for survival success. However, we, at SAFE, as the "skeleton crew"
have the burden of laying the foundation AND being ready to receive swelling numbers of new members
whenever the "it" happens sufficient to trigger a real, committed, response.
Following the political/economic "weather report" is fine if you're looking for some type of forecast.
We need to be aware but not filled with fear and despair.
As I've said repeatedly in other articles, we are best served when serving others, especially when
investing the time to get to know your team and neighbors before it's too late.
About 15 years ago, I remember reading a govt. report that stated that about 75% or more of the world's
military conflicts would be over water! Well, out West here we have a bona fide drought of epic
proportions! I just got a rationing notice.
Fines and penalties are in effect. Neighbors are informing on other neighbors, even though residential
water use only accounts for about 25% of total municipal water consumption. California produces about
half the nation's food. Now, a good portion of those fields are left to fallow because there's not
enough water. Translation: food prices will soon skyrocket.
Take the time to get connected with your productive neighbors while you still have the chance. Working
together with your network will result in greatly improving your survivability. There are some great
ideas out there, and many of you are doing incredible things with limited resources. You have my
sincere respect and admiration.
Peace & Action,
