The problem with the video
The problem with the video
is that it offered no solution -
and in fact knew no solution.
The only one that I hear offered -
and that was intimated there -
was getting back to what was proposed
by The Founding Fathers.
Won't work!
If the times were the same
(which they aren't)
and we could repeat it all again
(which we can't)
the results would be the same.
The Founding Fathers saw the dangers.
Political parties.
Control of the money by the banks.
Foreign involvement.
But it is important
that we hold these things in perspective:
Regarding Political Parties
GEORGE WASHINGTON,
in his Farewell Address,
Sep. 17, 1796
warned:
"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they
are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines,
by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to
subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of
government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted
them to unjust dominion."
Regarding Banks
Thomas Jefferson
in the debate over the
Re-charter of the Bank Bill (1809)
said:
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies."
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of
their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks…will
deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up
homeless on the continent their fathers conquered…. The issuing power
should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it
properly belongs."
Regarding Foreign Entanglements
George Washington stated:
"Tis our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world."
In his Farewell Address, 1796:
"The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in
extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political
connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements
let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop."
In a Letter to James Monroe
August 25,1796.
"I have always given it as my decided opinion that no nation has a right
to intermeddle in the internal concerns of another; that every one has a
right to form and adopt whatever government they liked best to live
under themselves; and that if this country could, consistently with its
engagements, maintain a strict neutrality and thereby preserve peace, it
was bound to do so by motives of policy, interest, and every other
consideration."
Again - it is important
that we keep all this in perspective.
All of the above individuals -
and in fact all twelve
of the first presidents
of the United States
were slave owners.
Thomas Jefferson freed only nine
of his more than 600 slaves
during his lifetime.
This is most notable because it was
Thomas Jefferson who in 1776
wrote as the opening of the United States
Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of
Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among
Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed;"

Any black ladies out there
who wish to get back to
The Principles of the Founding Fathers -
might want to take all this under consideration -
because DOUBLY you would not be able to vote.

TIMES CHANGE
Circumstances change.
Principles evolve.
The world has greatly changed.
Even at the time of
The Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804-1806),
there was no real comprehension
of even the geography
of what was to become the United States.
The Founding Fathers -
lived in a much more insular and isolated world
than we live in today.
Even the thirteen original colonies
clustered as they were
on the Eastern Seaboard
were so isolated by geography and technology
it took days/weeks
to travel in practicality from one boundary
to another -
and it was not until 1844
that it was even theoretically possible
to communicate beyond the line of sight.
They were separated
by great expanses of ocean -
slow sailing ships -
and a technology little changed
from the horses and fireplaces
of the time of Jesus
and two thousand years earlier.
The Founding Fathers
knew naught of:
cars
radio
television
air flight
electronics
computers
Internet
Space travel -
the galaxies - revealed by telescopes -
the quantum-world - revealed by the collider -
were beyond their comprehension.
Nuclear weapons
Satellites
and Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles
were things about which The Founders had
absolutely no knowledge
and no concern -
nor advice or guidance about which
they could pass on to future generations.
These are not just cosmetic matters -
but matters of paradigm -
about a world they truly knew nothing about -
with effects that it would have been impossible
for them to comprehend.
While their insights
into the nature of men (both slave and free)
and women (not then considered persons)
may still have substantial bearing
upon today's world -
we now face challenges about which they -
and most people today -
have no answers.
Political parties -
controlled by fascist concentrations
of corporate wealth and their controllers
with an almost instantaneous communication
of propaganda to hundreds of millions of people -
while The Founders had less than 3 million living
in their newly formed country.
Money as blips -
created by banks
in computers
and circulated about the world
in fractions of a second.
International entanglements
with countries
across the great expanse of Ocean
that have the capacity and capability
to deliver destruction in a matter of minutes
to the American cities.
These may all well be hazards
that The Founders duly warned against in principle -
but these are now not only hazards -
but imminent catastrophes -
arising out of technology and population -
about which The Founders could not have imagined -
and for which they offered no solutions.
There are solutions -
but they are not to be found by looking to the past,
and they are not solutions that can be implemented
so long as we are bound by
the political party system of the present,
the bank/monetary system that controls the fabric of life,
and the International threat of imminent destruction.
These are the realities of the day -
and they will not be wished away.
However, as recognized by the Founding Fathers -
they contain within themselves the seeds of self-destruction.
Yes, the present system is self-destructing
and there is naught that can be done about it.
Catastrophic Will Be Its Passing
We live in the most terrible of times.
That time called Armageddon -
which began now almost a hundred years ago.
Only after the Last Great Battle -
and the old system has been wiped away -
will the opportunity exist to reconstruct a new.
If we could put back the old -
(which we can't)
the results would again be the same -
but since we can't -
what should we put in its place?
It is not just a matter of free choice.
Some things will/would work -
but many things won't.
Those who complain so vociferously
about the present situation -
have usually given little thought to alternatives.
It is for this very reason that I have written
Society AFTER Doomsday.
I do wish that many, many people would read it NOW -
so that they would be prepared to do THEN
what will need to be done.
Now is the time to think through
and discuss these ideas.

on a blog that we hope to activate
the 1st of September.
