I plan to send it out in four parts mid-week, for four weeks in addition to the regular weekly newsletter. The four parts are: Part I - Introduction               &nb sp; and the                  Ancient History of Israel Part II - Events of the Last Century Part III - The Two Secret Documents                  and the                  Beginning History of Islam Part IV - The Final Culminating Acts As mentioned, this series has been written at Jean's request and so had to meet her approval. She kept coming back with, "You have to tell them about ..." and "Explain this", so it grew in length. I learned a lot while writing it - as I always do. I also wish to thank Kim, Rae, and Penny for editing and critiquing it. As usual, if you have any suggestions about it, please send them - and I will try to incorporate them into a revised version, for publishing I don't know where or when. Part I - Introduction and the Ancient History of Israel Introduction I look at current events and try to understand why things are as they are and where they are going. The following is my current comprehension from having studied into this as deeply as I have. Should someone find a mistaken 'fact' here, I will greatly appreciate having them tell me so that I can correct it. The Writer's Paradigm All writing about history is based upon the writer's paradigm - that is to say the writer's perception of the world. My paradigm is that the affairs of man are guided by Divine Will/Divine Destiny. When I look at one of the oldest historical records of those affairs, I am astounded at how related current events are to ancient events and how prophecies given at the time of the ancient events appear to be playing out today in what many refer to as the 'Last Days', a term used in the ancient prophecies. The Restoration of Israel Specifically, this paradigm holds that present events revolve around the 'restoration of Israel', and the destinies of the City of Jerusalem and the City of Damascus, and that the culmination of current world events ('The Last Days') is tied to those destinies. When we look at the record of present day 'futurists' we see that they have difficulty predicting events 10 years out, and yet The Bible is a Book that thousands of years earlier accurately predicted the restoration of Israel and the predominant role of two specific cities - Jerusalem and Damascus at the time Israel would be restored. I know of no comparable forecasting elsewhere. The Uniqueness of this Last Century The last hundred years has witnessed the 37 million casualties of World War One and 60 million killed in World War Two. Even those incomprehensible numbers fail to take into account the tragedies of those wounded, widowed and orphaned, nor the immense numbers more left homeless and in poverty in a disturbed century of the sub-conflicts of Armageddon in innumerable locales such as in Korea, Vietnam, throughout S.E. Asia, Africa and elsewhere throughout the world. It has been a century of immense light that saw greater advance in the social, economic and scientific affairs of man, than all previous centuries combined, and a century of immense darkness that saw greater dissolution of morals accompanied by death and destruction of more millions than all previous centuries combined. A process that is continuing today. Of course, none of the tragedy that has occurred before holds a candle to The Last Great Battle of Armageddon and The Great Catastrophe that looms on our horizon. Those are themes that I deal with elsewhere, and which are not a part of this accounting. The Key Role of Certain Individuals Some will question then, among the overwhelming number of events and persons, why I have chosen these few events and individuals to present here. The reason is, that I feel they present a thread woven through the tapestry of history, that when we pull upon that single thread it pulls together the tapestry of events, in such a way, that we can see the Divine Destiny. While the present day events are dramatic and alarming, the activities surrounding the Divinely Ordained Events have a human face and have left a secular record in the century of activity culminating in the activities that we see before us today in Syria (Damascus) and Israel (Jerusalem). Some of the names mentioned in this account may be familiar to you, and others not, but you will find here an accounting that brings together the names and roles of Woodrow Wilson, Nathan Birnbaum, Theodor Herzl, Baron Rothschild, Balfour, Sykes, Picot, Lawrence of Arabia, Tudor Pole, Abdu'l-Baha, General Allenby, Adolph Hitler, the MS St. Louis, the Exodus 1947, Ben-Gurion, Caliph Abu Bakr. I have listed the above names roughly in their historical order or rather in relation to the historical order of events in which they played a part. In the newspaper headlines at the time of the actual events there were many other names, some much more prominent, and there were multi-millions whose acts and whose names never made the headlines at all, who undoubtedly affected the course/path of history towards its Defined Destiny. Most assuredly it is questionable that many of those individuals, whose role that I have chosen to recount, understood their role in The Destiny towards which the world marches. Few today understand The Destiny itself. Armageddon and The Great Catastrophe, as stupendous as they may be, are but marks along the path, indicating by their momentousness the importance to which all this leads. But that too, is another story with which I will not deal here. I personally can list a dozen, nearer to two dozen, differing paradigms regarding the nature of the world and its Destiny. Many views revolve around quite differing concepts regarding The Return of Christ, the coming of the Muslim Mahdi, or comparable events in the Buddhist and Hindu religions. Where it all leads The five thousand year old Divine Record, recorded in the Bible, culminating in what is called the "Last Days" or "The End", actually only brings us to the end of the "Prophetic Period" and the threshold which marks the beginning of the development of humanity's current Divine Civilization on this planet. "The Divine Purpose of Fulfillment" is to continue five-hundred thousand (500,000) years, which is a hundred times longer than the five-thousand (5,000) year "Prophetic Period" from which we are emerging. Any who desire to understand my views on that matter will have to look in other of my works, but we are very blessed to live in the time of transition when we can be of the great service to humanity in progressing toward its goal of spiritual civilization. Any atheists, or those who believe that the Bible is merely a collection of myths, may well discount my paradigm, but they should still accept that my analysis comprehends the motives of certain powerful players in current events, who do subscribe to some similar paradigm. The Ancient History The past predicts/portends/plots the present; and today's present had its beginning when King David, (son of Judah, son of Jacob (Israel), son of Isaac and therefore-) the great, great grandson of Abraham, purchased a threshing floor in order to obtain land for the building of a Temple in Jerusalem by his son, King Solomon, as penance for having disobeyed the Lord and in appreciation of having survived a terrible plague (think Ebola). The purchase of the land for the Temple The story is here: 1 Chronicles 21:22 Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: ... 21:23 And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all. 21:24 And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost. 21:25 So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight. 21:26 And David built there an altar unto the LORD ... 22:1 Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel. 22:5 And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. 22:6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel. Thus it is that we have this ancient record of purchase for the site of Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem by the Jews, the descendants of Judah and Jacob (who wrestled with an Angel and had his name changed to Israel). I won't go into the details of how the Temple was destroyed and rebuilt (the date of which is the marker date for all future Biblical prophecy), nor how according to the Prophecy of Jesus that Second Temple would be destroyed - The prophecy of Jesus about the Temple Matthew: 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Suffice it to say that the Temple site and the Wailing Wall that was left outside it became very significant to the Jews, Christians and Muslims. It is considered by the Jews to be the Most Holy Site and Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible 747 times (I counted it). The Pope feels it should be under Christian control because of Jesus and the Muslims consider it the Third Most Holy Site after Mecca and Medina and are determined that they shall control it because of a night vision of Muhammad, although Jerusalem is not mentioned even once by name in the Quran. The Destiny of Jerusalem Needless to say, the vortex of world history swirls around Jerusalem and the Temple - in the past, in the present, and in that which it presages/portends/prophesizes for the future. The promises and prophecies regarding Jerusalem and the promises of God to Abraham regarding all the peoples and religions of the world, are told about in the Bible (particularly in the Book of Revelation). Many interpret the unfulfilled events, regarding the Building of the Third Temple, the central role that Jerusalem will play, and so forth, in accordance with their own theologies, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and there are immense varieties of interpretations within each of those major divisions. All that I have related so far, all occurred over two-thousand years ago and whether or not you think it is true or not, there is a centuries old record of it that inspires/motivates great numbers of people towards what they call the rebuilding of The Third Temple. Over the centuries, these concepts have inspired momentous events from the Crusades, to the establishment of Masonry, and so forth. They were the basis of the historical theory of Isaac Newton, considered by many as the greatest scientist of all time, and the subject of the manuscript for a book that I have written and will gladly share with any who wish to critique it. Camping and an adventure. Register for details. Email me now. Jean's Requested Explanation The explanation that Jean asked me to write about the Middle East has been delayed. I planned to send it out mid-week this last week, but now the plan is to send it out in four supplementary segments - one segment mid-week for four weeks, starting this week. The problem was that Jean rejected my first three drafts, and then corrections had to be made after critique by three editors. All have agreed that it can be sent now - so hopefully, starting Wednesday. Looking for the Causes The trends and intensity increase in: Iran Iraq Islamic State Syria Pakistan/India Activities in: Ukraine (supposedly under cease fire) Gaza (likewise) Japan/China N./S. Korea etc. will continue to fester. We never know what tomorrow's headlines will be - but probably not - "Christ Has Returned" or "World Peace, Prosperity, Justice has been achieved". I am sure you will continue to track the news, so I am going to turn my attention to other matters in this newsletter as we look for causes of the present situation. First I wish to discuss the subject of Spiritual Stress and share with you some things I have learned about Wahhabism, the basis of the religion of the Caliph of the new Islamic State - and then I shall present the third installment in the series about LERNs, the system which you need to know how to implement in a universal Post-Holocaust situation. Spiritual Stress Much of the world today is under spiritual stress. As you may have noted - I often remark about the number of suicides that I hear about. This news this week from WHO (The World Health Organization) is that every 40 seconds, someone commits suicide. Many more attempt it. Another indicator is that about 25% of Americans are on prescribed anti-depressants Personally, I see these as spiritual health issues. I am not going to mention a plethora of other indicators such as drug usage, crime rates, size of prison populations, divorce rates, alcoholism, pornography usage, and a list that just goes on and on. I think today that another indicator is that over 40% of all births in the US today are to unwed mothers. Societies and individuals wrestle with these issues - and sometimes lose on the opposite side of the coin. I had one friend here at Ark Two who did the the Skoptsy thing, and I can tell you that was a bloody mess. It is a bloody mess for the whole of societies to go that way too. At one time Skoptsy was much more popular. Their goal was 144,000 and they reportedly did make it up over 100,000. I think we are seeing something very similar with Wahhabis as far as society is concerned in the Middle East. In their rejection of Western culture and its LGBT trends, high drug usage, extensive pornography, (or standards in common entertainment that are very close to it), almost universal usage of language that is either profane or obscene, and a variety of other issues which I will agree are decadent, the State of Islam is in the process of creating mayhem on its total society equivalent to the Skoptsy effect on the individual. Wahhabis The foundation of these beliefs/acts is to be found in the Wahhabi teachings/traditions. In addition to the usual Sharia Law: regarding which foods are permissible wearing the veil observing prayers handling the dead and the rest of the long list – regarding marriage charity punishment for adultery, rape, profaning Islam, leaving Islam, for which the punishment for the latter is death- Wahhabis forbid: performing or listening to music, dancing, fortune telling, amulets, television programs (unless religious), smoking, playing backgammon, chess, or cards, drawing human or animal figures, acting in a play or writing fiction (both are considered forms of lying), dissecting cadavers (even in criminal investigations and for the purposes of medical research), recorded music played over telephones on hold, the sending of flowers to friends or relatives who are in the hospital Common Muslim practices Wahhabis believe are contrary to Islam include: listening to music in praise of Muhammad, praying to God while visiting tombs (including the tomb of Muhammad), celebrating mawlid (birthday of the Prophet), the use of ornamentation on or in mosques. The driving of motor vehicles by women dream interpretationism non-Muslim friendships no matter how innocent these may appear celebrating foreign days (such as Valentine's Day or Mothers Day) shaving, cutting or trimming of beards, giving of flowers, standing up in honor of someone celebrating birthdays (including the Prophet's) keeping or petting dogs smiling at non-Muslims football (soccer) traveling or working outside the home by a woman without their husband's permission. The other thing astounding to me was the number of Sunni Mosques and Shrines that had been destroyed by the Wahhabis. Other Muslims prevented them, but they wanted to destroy the tomb of the Prophet and the Kaaba. Wahhabis have been around since the 1700s and the sect has been the practice of Saudi Arabia, but this may be really something new and fierce with the new Caliph of the Islamic State. Anyway, it is not just the Baha’is, Buddhists, Hindus, that they pick on – but most everyone else. My son Bonnar said tonight that it is good that they wish to focus just on God - but bad that they are so intolerant of everyone else. I think that sums it up. The LERN System - Third Part of the Presentation The System being described here is that of a LERN (Local Economy Resource Network). In this part of the presentation I shall describe the first elements of the governance system and how the initial administrators are selected. Selection of the Administrators A show of hands will do to show how many administrators are to be selected by the group. There can be five, seven, or nine. Some odd number. The administrators can change the number for later elections. If there is difficulty in getting people to participate then a smaller number may be better to begin with. Voter List A list is generated of all the persons in the voting area who are age 15 or older. At the beginning if a thorough and accurate census has not been taken - the list may be more or less just those present. However, everyone in the geographic area, over the age of fifteen, is eligible to be on the list - and should be on it. The voter list is displayed before or circulated through the group. Some system needs to be devised so that all the voters (everyone who is present who lives in the designated area, and is fifteen years of age or older) can identify the people on the list. For example - each person on the list could be asked to stand when their name is called out. The voters should write on a sheet of paper the names of the individuals they wish to vote for, up to the number of names of positions to be filled. Qualifications to Be an Administrator The more the group matures the better the administrators it will select. The whole issue of qualities should be discussed, presented, debated. However, selection should not be made on popularity and there is NO nominating, campaigning, or public recommending. The casting of the ballots The group needs to select, through some process, three individuals to count the ballots. In the present world it is said that he who counts the ballots chooses the winner. It is important then to have confidence in the tellers. The voting should be very open and clear. The paper for the ballots should all be the same size and color. They should all be folded once or twice in the same way. The voter should come to the front of the room in the alphabetic order that they are on the voting list fold their ballot before the view of everyone in the room and lay the ballot on a tray held by a teller, so that everyone may see that they have cast a single ballot. The teller then empties the tray of the single ballot - into a glass box like an aquarium. Counting of the ballots Once all the ballots have been collected - the tellers take them from the glass box and stack them on an open table in view of the room. The first and second teller together examine each ballot and announce the names on the ballot and the third teller writes down new names read adding a tick mark beside each name that has been read previously. After all the ballots have been counted - any individual who has received over fifty percent of the number of the voters present - is then elected. If less than the number to be elected have received over fifty percent of the votes - then an additional vote is taken - where all the voters put up to the number of names for the positions to still be selected. For example - if there are seven positions - and 4 have been selected - then the new ballots are to have up to 3 names - and the process is repeated. And again, repeatedly if necessary. To simplify the process it may be useful - to have all the individuals who received a vote on the previous ballot - (but who were not elected) to stand as those names are read, along with the number of votes they received. In the subsequent ballots the voters are NOT restricted to voting only for those who have received votes in the previous balloting. The two key points is that the process must be completely - very open and above board - and that there is no campaigning. First Meeting of the Community with the Administrators All meetings of the administrators are held in complete privacy and confidence. They may call others to testify before them - but all their debate and voting must be completely in private. Selection of a Chair by the Administrators At the first meeting of the Administrators - the administrators select from among themselves - a chair - and a secretary and/or such other offices as they wish to fulfill. This is again done without nominations - and by secret ballot - for one office at a time - with as many votings as necessary for each office to be elected by a majority. Further Meetings of the Community The Administrators should schedule regular meetings with the community. In the type of circumstance that we are discussing - it may initially be every day - or even more than once a day. In the next issue of the Newsletter I intend to discuss the nature of the first community meeting with the Administrators, and the types of things they may concern themselves with. This week at Ark Two A couple of ladies are trying to make arrangement in their lives so that they can join us here and help Jean. Grandson here this weekend and as usual being a big help. Has already mowed the lawn, watered the batteries, and some other good tasks. I hope that tomorrow we can worry the worms and make some preparation for the delivery of 6 cords of firewood. Taking note in Christopher's Column of his disparaging remark (or perhaps it is Herb's) regarding the Georgia Guide Stones, I have told him that I hope that he will go through the Guidestone List, point by point, and tell us what he disagrees with, and what he would prefer we do instead. Personally, I have been impressed with the Guidestone List - and except possibly for the limitation of world population to 500 million, I don't remember anything there that I really disagree with. But, I think even the survivors of the Great Catastrophe may number more than 500 million. That Christopher can hold one such opinion, and myself another, just goes to show the diversity of opinion at SAFE and Ark Two. Our membership includes everything from Orthodox Jews to Muslims and of course a wide spectrum of Christians, with a substantial number of atheists thrown in as that is now the majority of Americans. Not to worry - with us there is room for all and we advocate no one position - although it is evident that both Christopher and myself are very theistically inclined. Well, if you're still around and reading this, I salute you! I say, I salute you because just about everybody and everything has been distracted by the recent events hitting us at every angle, at every turn. I received an important email the other day from a SAFE member who is VERY experienced in these matters. Therefore, today's article reflects much of Herb's observations. Regardless of our experience, skills, or resources, how are we responding to current events? OUR thinking has to be independent from TPTB type thinking that most of us have been brainwashed with for most of our lives! What does that mean? Well, getting all fired up won't help. Stuffing your head with info won't help. Stuffing your bug out bag or hole in the ground with the latest gadgets won't help. OK, here it comes. How do you spell survival? Is it the last man standing? Think about how "they" want us to think. Notice how WE always have to sacrifice OUR sons, OUR taxes, and OUR livelihood for the agenda? Now think again. Is the solution just the opposite - NO! That's just another trap of righteous, rugged, independence, aka, divide and conquer! When THEIR cash system, retirement system, health system, food, water, and other infrastructure goes down so that TPTB can adapt to gain even more control over us via some neatly manufactured crisis; we are left with little or no alternatives! Honestly, do you want to end up like the Georgia frickin Guide Stones say we should?! I hope not. However, it all comes back to the "thinking" process because that drives our actions. Look, all this SAFE stuff we've been saying all along boils down to that one crucial activity that will determine our level of success - Networking! Ever notice how right before tax time the "news" reports a few people being prosecuted by the IRS? That's just the tip of the iceberg. Now, multiply that "technique" by about 100, then throw in multiple "technologies" to enhance the conditioning, and you begin to see how TPTB really have been working the herd to exhaustion. Among many things of vital importance that Jesus Christ taught the world, or whoever was listening, was that we really can't serve two masters simultaneously. It only becomes profound once we start to personally experience it! So, staying out of trouble is great and to be commended. However, do NOT confuse that with an insurance policy for "safety"! We are either consumers, producers, or a combination of the two. Only those who are "producers" are the ones who experience a greater level of freedom than the rest of the herd. So, what's the solution? Just the same old thing I've been harping on - Networking! If you haven't yet done so, CREATE YOUR NETWORK NOW! Quit trying to solve things on your own. Get your people, whoever they are, together and helping each other NOW! I don't know what else to say or do to get this message across. Do you believe in your God given right to put your prayers into action? Great! Now multiply that with your network! Do you believe in helping others in need? Great! Now MULTIPLY that by doing it via your network! Do you believe in preparing for a "rainy day"? Fine. Now MULTIPLY your effectiveness via your network! UN Troops captured In Syria three batches of UN troops have been captured/attacked by ISIS. This could be a game changer. Children beheaded Thousands of people reportedly being slaughtered by the Islamic State.This comes to me not only through the news, but now a second source forwarded eye-witness Christian missionary email. Hasn't stirred much response here because until now there haven't been that many Christian children. This may stir something up (like the Iraq incubator thing - if you remember that). Arming Assad in Syria Massive loads of armaments being flown into Lebanon. Reports that some going to Assad Loyalists to help stave off what used to be called ISIS. US fighter planes also assisting by bombing ISIS in Syria. One day one is on one side of the gun and the next day on the other. For Bashar Hafez al-Assad, I would call this an improvement in position. Nothing strange here. One day Germany is your enemy - the next your ally. Same with Japan, etc. Oh, well, so long as there is SOMEONE to fight, the arms manufacturers will do well. Tanks, Humvees and weapons manufactured in the US are being used to fight Humvees and weapons manufactured in the US. No irony in that! Russia on the Run (I think not.) Speaking of keeping track of which side of the net the ball is on, Russia and the US on the same side during World Wars One and Two - and now this week Putin telling the US that Russia DOES HAVE NUKES. (I didn't know that was a secret.) Anyway, NATO (think US) getting ready to move 10,000 troops up to the Ukrainian front. Russians have already. Both just barely putting their toes over the line. You know the dance. First you put your big toe in - then you take your big out - and you shake it all about. There is lots of shaking with the ultimatums being given today, by the US, Russia, China, Iran, the Islamic State, and many others. Malaysian Airliner Refusal of the committee to release to Russia the black box data about the Malaysian airlines raises - (I hate to say it) conspiracy theories that even other governments are responding to. This is a really weird agreement that has been entered into by the withholding countries. Black Suicide Watched the video of the "suicide by cop" in St. Louis, four miles from the Michael Brown incident in the week following. Well, now comes one that reminds me of a story told to me by my dad. Sheriff called coroner about black prisoner who had died in his cell from 22 gunshot wounds in the back. Worst case of suicide he had ever seen, said the coroner. This week a coroner in Louisiana has decreed that Victor White III who died from a gunshot to his side while sitting in the back of a police cruiser with his hands HANDCUFFED BEHIND HIS BACK, was a suicide who intentionally shot himself with a concealed weapon. It is official - so who could possibly doubt that? Are We Guinea Pigs? Although I feel I live in the most fortunate part of the world there are many things that strike at my heart such as the use of torture and things done in other countries in my name as an American. One of the great evils has been the many documented and verified use of people for medical experiments. There are dozens of experiments that I could point you to regarding VA patients, the experiments in Montreal, the use of Native children, prisoners and American troops, plus a long list of others. This one this week, bothered me particularly because of our family involvement with children having autism. As evil as is all this, I suspect that we are all about to experience much worse. I often wonder if we are being used as guinea pigs for things we do not understand, to ends that we do not comprehend. Baby, It is cold outside! And it will be cold inside too for much of Europe, if Russia shuts off the gas this winter. I am concerned about getting wood in for our one little house, because my wife tells me that it is going to be an exceptionally winter. Glad I don't have to worry about a whole continent, like some European leaders must/should be. France may go into Economic free-fall I can't begin to explain that. I don't even begin to understand it. Just repeating reports that I have received. Closer to home is sequestration on Oct 1st. China chipping a-way At most everything. Hong Kong in big demonstrations because China is revoking the democratic trends there. Most everyone around them feels like Big Brother is waving the Big Stick. The new weapons they are demonstrating are quite frosting the Americans and then there was the tussle with the US surveillance aircraft 135 miles outside China's borders. I am sure that the US wouldn't mind China parking surveillance ships and aircraft 135 miles off its coast. The Current State of Things Maybe I should mention that I am getting all sorts of "heads up" about the UK, some sectors of the US government, Israel and others all going on high alert. Some tied to upcoming 9/11, some tied to October dates, and some to other things. Okay, I could go on and on about all sorts of stuff - but I won't. Everyone here can see what is happening in the world. HOWEVER, Jean has asked that I write an article explaining about what is happening in the Middle East, so you know the rule - do as your wife says. I will try to put it together and send a supplementary issue mid-week if I can do it. Back now - to our regularly scheduled programming. The LERN System - Second Part of the Presentation In the first part of this presentation I described the actions that need to be taken on the first day after The Great Catastrophe and in this second part of the presentation I shall describe the preparation for choosing the local administrators for your group. The Second Day After There is nothing magical or cut in stone about the number of days. We could perhaps better call them 'stages', but still it is important to put some concept of time frame and urgency on what we are talking about. These things need to be done very quickly because: a. the need will be great b. other patterns may set in and become ingrained - such as control by some domineering individual. On the other hand it may be that some period of psychological accommodation may be necessary for people to adapt to the initial shock sufficiently that they are able to respond. Whichever. The Third Meeting There will be people at the third meeting that weren't at the second meeting so it will be necessary to start again from the beginning and explain: Introduction We are here to implement a recovery and reconstruction plan that has been designed for a universal catastrophe. All parts of the system have been tested individually in various situations, but it has not been possible to implement the system as a whole because there has never before been a total universal catastrophe. The kernel for this system is recommended for post-nuclear recovery by FEMA. [Final Report of the US Federal Emergency Management Agency study (RR-31 / reprinted March 1990) on "Markets, Distribution, and Exchange After Societal Cataclysm" (pp. 94-95).] At this moment we have three choices: First possible choice: 1. We can do nothing and wait for some government or military agency or someone else to come and organize things for us. Second possible choice: 2. We can implement this plan. Third possible choice: 3. We can implement some other plan - if someone wishes to propose something else. However, we will either control ourselves - or someone else is going to come and control us. If someone wishes to recommend another plan - please speak up. Otherwise let us have a show of hands of all in favor of examining this plan. Okay, we will pause here for a moment so that those who don't wish to examine this plan can have an opportunity to leave. Description of the Plan Our Group This plan is based upon the forming and functioning of local groups of between 100 and 200 people who all live adjacent to each other in one area. Our Area Our area is within these borders [describe]. Our Administrators We will first need to elect 5 or 7 or 9 administrators for our group. (I will describe the election process in the next presentation in this series.) Our Social Contract with Our Administrators Our Administrators' Duties It will be our Administrators' responsibility to: a. Determine and prioritize the group's needs b. Determine solutions for the group's needs c. Provide directions as to how the solutions are to be implemented d. Assign responsibilities and resources for implementing the solutions e. Judge individual conformance with their directives f. Administer sanctions against those who do not conform Our Administrators' Authority We are going to give full and total authority to our Group's Administrators. This means: a. They will make the rules (legislative power) b. They will execute the rules (administrative power) c. They will judge those who violate the rules (judicial power) There is no division of power. No "balance of power". It all rests with the Administrators. Limits to Our Administrators' Authority a. NO administrator will have individual authority all decisions are made by majority vote of the administrators b. ALL administrators are limited in term in office - and cannot be re-elected without an intervening term c. All rules, statements of Principle, and such, passed by the administrators - must have a sunset clause. Next week I hope to write about what has occurred to this point and to report any concerns, suggestions, or speculations, that I have received, about what may happen in regards to the process as I have described it. Next week I also plan to describe the Administrators’ first meeting. Meanwhile - Back at Ark Two With the world in such turmoil, I sometimes have feelings of guilt living in such a peaceful pleasant location with so many caring family and friends and so much bounty. The slide shows of the children refugees especially tug at me and I certainly don't watch anything like the videos of the beheadings. I have a strange sleep pattern, but I often lie there just feeling the immensity of God's love sweeping over and around me. I don't think only about those things which I write about here. While I don't watch movies, don't even have a TV, and certainly never go out to a movie (not that I wouldn't love to if there was one that I thought worthwhile.) Grandchildren recommend to me movies, such as Dr. Who, that I am sure that I would really enjoy - but I don't have that kind of time. The three things that I most enjoy on the Internet are: "random acts of kindness" (Google that one) Mozart (my favorite composer) Talent Show Finalists- (Have you seen the shadows or the the first one) There are many inspirational things on the Internet. So much that I can't begin to look at but a fraction of them, but this is one that I have sent to a grandson and two other young friends. These links are all so beautiful to me that they brought tears to my eyes. (I used to think that I was the only person that strangely wired - but now I know that it is common.) The frequency and intensity of world changing events has become so great that I am no longer pleading with people to come to Ark Two. I think that the changes in the next few weeks will be so rapid and so intense that they would not be able to make it here. Marvelous times that we live in - as we see God working His Purpose out. Doing the unthinkable? If you're a "member" of SAFE, you realize that we have certain preparedness goals, various resources, and several challenges to achieve our objectives. Many people who have volunteered their precious time have done some pretty amazing things for SAFE. Many STLs have gone that extra mile to organize their state membership. Others have assisted in vital organizational areas, and continue to do so. Nevertheless, progress toward creating a more viable network among members has, at least in my opinion, fallen flat! Many, many, members routinely contact me with complaints of little or no help from their STL. Other members too often describe lack of updated member data. Other members describe such difficulty forming small community based networks! OK, this is where things get a little weird. Most, and I mean most, organizations usually exist at the expense of other organizations. Their chief aim is to differentiate themselves from all the other prepper type groups! Since our members are facing so much resistance to growth, and simply waiting around for the "big whatever" isn't accomplishing anything either; my advice would be for as many of us as possible to start looking at other groups in order to bond with like minded neighbors! That's sort of like committing organizational heresy! But I know that any of you who are committed to SAFE's basic premise will recognize the wisdom in looking out for yourself first. Just because you find like minded folks outside of SAFE doesn't mean that you automatically forsake SAFE! What I'm saying is that it's so important for as many of us as possible to create a viable, personal network - right now - no matter where you have to go to do it. SAFE's basic appeal will still be there. We will still be here. Just be wise about who you associate with! Exercise prudent caution regarding ethics, values, morals, and objectives. And get connected ASAP! Perhaps that way, we will continue to improve our over all situation. Stay SAFE. In my paradigm it is because we crossed that July 28th marker date of the 100th anniversary of Armageddon, but no matter how you view it, a few other individuals (as I shall explain momentarily), are noticing the change also. Because of the change, I am not going to discuss: * Ebola * What has happened in Ferguson * This week's US/China close military air encounter * The increasing US/Russian air encounters * The increasing conflict in the Ukraine * The continuing conflict in Gaza (totaling over a thousand deaths) * The increasing conflict in Syria (with over a hundred thousand deaths) * The march of ISIS in Iraq (affecting millions) * The late monsoon in India that may cause a drought and hunger for millions * The increasing conflict on the India/Pakistan border * The looming extension date with Iran * The October 1st sequestration date I am certainly aware of all this, and much much more, and while most of your friends and neighbors could not sit down and write such a list, just off the top of their head as I have, and more importantly, even given the above list, could not explain what each thing on the list is about, and its significance. The sea change, which I am about to explain, is something of which they are totally unaware. Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. That was said 2000 years ago. The time has come. We are at the end. Things will happen - much more quickly now. But not to be troubled - because such things need to be. No reason to any longer discuss them. Most people will not even be aware - (just as I have said about the above list) and THAT is the change. Moreover, they are totally unaware of the REALLY important things - which are MORE important than any of those on that list above. This too, was foretold. The following is a source that will be non-meaningful to almost all my readers. Hud (The Qur'an (Yusuf Ali tr), Surah 11) 20. They will in nowise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their Penalty will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see! ... 24. These two kinds (of men) may be compared to the blind and deaf, and those who can see and hear well. Are they equal when compared? Will ye not then take heed? 25. We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning: 26. "That ye serve none but Allah: verily I do fear for you the Penalty of a Grievous Day." ... 36. It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds. Comparing to the words of Jesus: Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. --- 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Yep. The time has come. We are here. There is no need to warn any longer. There are no others that will hear it. THAT is the sea change. The time for prepping is past. The next weeks/months shall see dramatic changes. Still no one knows the hour. (Jean thinks May - and I listen to her - but she doesn't get any revelations either.) We do expect a tough winter - on many fronts. In the weeks to come - if there are weeks to come - and I am able to do so - I intend to try to educate people as to what they will need to do afterwards. You will note in Christopher's column that he seeks to prepare you for catastrophes (like Katrina). I seek to prepare you for the time after The Great Catastrophe. What is the Great Catastrophe? There is Armageddon (which has lasted a hundred years and which we are at the end of). There is the Last Great Battle of Armageddon (which will be soon enough and which will come suddenly). There is The Great Catastrophe (which will be very quick and which will 'shorten those days' of The Last Great Battle). The time of recovery and reconstruction AFTER The Great Catastrophe, will be long and arduous. It is for that time that I seek to prepare you. The only place you can store this preparation is between your ears. If you don't learn it now - you won't know it then. You must also store it in your heart. If you do not believe it and are not committed to it - you certainly won't go look for it at that time. Many of the present readers will now depart - because they do not want to hear this. Many others will simply ignore it. I will be able to reach only a few - if any - but they are the only ones that it makes any difference to reach. (If you do not understand why - read again the verses quoted above - and realize that from this point on - all other eyes and ears have been closed.) So we begin. Or at least I begin. Step by step and slowly. If you have questions - write to me. I will either answer you directly - or try to answer in the next newsletter. If you object to something - or think something wrong - VOICE your objection. Most assuredly do that! My ideas are NOT revelation. They are human reasoning - subject to discussion/debate/critique. The First Day After One day, if you survive intact the day of The Great Catastrophe, YOU will need the knowledge/wisdom being presented here. Security, air, water, food, shelter are necessities of life, but comprehension of what is being presented here is necessary to obtaining and maintaining those. Prepping ahead of time will do you little good without this understanding. You may have many guns and much ammunition, but others with more can overwhelm you. You may have stocked great amounts of food and other things of necessity, but others can come and take them away from you. First and foremost you must not put your trust in things, "where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal", but rather in the spiritual purpose of life. However, with your spiritual purpose of life properly set, you still need to understand the practical steps that need to be taken. The first commandment is to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength" and the second commandment is to, "love thy neighbour as thyself." It is this second commandment that is the basis/principle of what is presented here. Those who are only concerned about themselves are missing the essential ingredient of what is needed for survival, which is cooperation. It may well be (indeed probably will be) that those surrounding you will not understand this, and so the cooperation will have to begin with you. The knowledge being presented here is not something that you can implement ahead of time. The best that you can do is think about it. Interiorize it. Make it your own. Unless you gain that familiarity with it now it will be difficult to be confident about it when you need it. The reason that you can't implement the new system now is because it completely displaces the present system of things which people have been raised with and understand. People will not change away from something that is presently working. Once the old system completely fails, there is a void in which something different can be tried. Because the new system requires the cooperation of many, and the involvement of everyone, there is nothing you can do at the present, other than study and wait. When the old system has been swept away, and people are confused and don't know what to do, then you can offer the solution. On that day you can say to others, "This day has been anticipated and a solution has been prepared - please let me tell you about it." At first, maybe only three, four, or five people - will be willing to listen, but you can say to them, "Please, let me tell you about the solution I was told about ahead of time, and how we can implement it." Some, (actually many), may refuse to listen, but once you find a few who do then they too can go and try to convince others to participate. These first meetings may take place when there is confusion all around you. People just sitting at home dazedly confused, or destruction and anarchy taking place in the streets. The first meeting(s) will have to be brief and to the point:> a. We have to control ourselves. If we don't there will be chaos or someone else will control us. b. There is a thought-out plan of what we need to do - but we need to get others to cooperate. c. Go bring others to a meeting so that we can discuss the plan. While those at the first meeting can be told briefly something of the plan the message they go out with should be this simple: "There is a plan of what we need to do. We are going to have a meeting at (location) at (time). Will you come?" For the second meeting(s) you must find a relatively secure place, away from the elements and confusion and where some light can be provided. At the second meeting(s) people are told: a. There is well thought out and designed plan of what we need to be doing. It is called a LERN (Local Economy Recovery Network). It was developed by experts and elements have been used in minor catastrophes. US government economists have said that it is the only plan that will work in this situation. More will be explained about it at the next meeting which will be the organizational meeting. b. We need to draw geographical boundaries around our group. The area should include at least a hundred people and less than two-hundred. This is the number of people that is to be in our area - whether they have come to a meeting or not. c. Go out into this specified geographic area and get as many people as you can to come to a meeting at (location) at (time). It would be well if some people here agree to cover specific sub-areas in inviting people to come. This should be done as quickly as possible. Hopefully, I will be able to write more next week. I hope in the coming issues of this newsletter - to explain step by step the procedures that you will need to recover and to reconstruct society. Preparation for winter this year at Ark Two is tough. Wish we had lots of help - but what will be - will be. The past few weeks, I've been in touch with several different prepper type organizations. None of them prone to violence. One thing in common though - apathy! WOW, if I were in some govt. agency, trying to undermine self reliance AND prepper mentality, I couldn't ask for a better, more successful weapon! I recently spoke to a group of over 100 high school teenagers about basic preparedness. C'mon, this is California - earthquake central, right? We've ALL seen the disruption, the devastation from MINOR earthquakes! These are the same people who watch the news about "other people's problems: tsunamis, blizzards, floods, hurricanes, mudslides, and tornados! I thought I was speaking another language! I didn't get upset or annoyed. But their lack of concern was shocking. This is not just teenage attitude. It's also an accurate reflection of the mentality at home. Apparently, the govt. has been stupendously successful in either distracting or lulling the society to sleep - bravo to them! This is the kind of phenomena that history buffs read about! Of course, the right attitude, compassion, and concern should be our guiding principles. However, you try once. You try twice. You try three times. Then just shake the dust off, and walk away. It's that simple. Please don't misunderstand. I'm not advocating an arrogant, self centered pride that is sure to repel even the most curious. We are faced with a huge complacency which seems to be part of the end game strategy. Even though the news, CLEARLY showed that such thinking is crazy; people, universally seem to say: "If there's trouble, I know I can run to your house!" or as during hurricane Katrina, "Somehow, the govt. will come and help us!" Heaven help such people because I know I won't. Not to punish my neighbors or the general public. It's just a little like running a farm. He who eats is he who does the work. Charity gets the leftovers - NOT the first helping! Exercise EXTREME caution with "neighbors"! As in the unrest in places like Ferguson, you don't want to be on the streets, traveling about, and you don't want to contend with angry crowds. Neither do you want to be informed on, or "turned in" because you are cooking up a feast in your back yard with your new solar oven when they are out looting to get food! All of this boils down to having a real, functioning, mutual support group - your SAFE Network, or whatever kind of network you can develop while there's still time! Focus on constructive things, no matter how bad it gets. Create things for your family to look forward to every week. Work on your spiritual relationship with God so that you'll have a solid foundation of moral and ethical leadership when folks around you have none. Every day is a challenge. For the latest SAFE happenings in your state, please look at: Safeforumusa.com (not working in FireFox SAFE Ark Two Newsletter August 17th, 2014 Documenting Change Much of the information in this issue of the newsletter has been sent to me by our Hawaii State TEAM Leader Gary Weller, in response to my previous newsletter. Gary states: "Preparations for using troops to deal with mass civil unrest on U.S. soil have been in the works for years". He then provided me with many predecessors of FM 3-39.40 (the link for which I provided to you in the previous newsletter). The earliest example that Gary provided to me was: FM 19-40 from 1952 Handling Prisoners of War What strikes me about this document that comes from the period when I served honorably on active duty in the US military, is the TOTAL difference in culture and attitude between that time and now. There existed at that time a Military Code of Honor, well understood by myself, my very close very military uncle who had served in both WWI and WWII, and my WWI veteran father who was the oldest living American Legion Commander in the state in which I was raised. In this document you will read standards of gallantry similar to that attributed to the Knights of yesteryear. A long and established Western tradition. We lived it. We breathed it. None of this torture (enhanced interrogation methods) spoken of in current documents. No pictures of blindfolded and shackled prisoners being transported on their knees in passenger planes, and then kept in what would have been considered open animal cages under the sun. My father would have been shocked by such pictures. I of course am not - having seen them many times - but I am still shocked/greatly disappointed/upset that it occurs in our nominally Christian society. I remember well the German prisoners from the Second World War. I saw thousands of them. I regularly met the troop trains and was disappointed when it was a prisoner of war train because it meant the passengers wouldn't have money to send me on errands to get candy bars and cigarettes. Nevertheless, just as with the troop trains, the prisoners, although few could speak English, hung chattering and smiling out the windows, while their guards wearing MP armbands stood nonchalantly on the railway platform. In today's modern world rapport between even civilians and police is not so kindly. Do look at the document and see how the rights, comfort, and concerns of the prisoners were treated in those days. Concerns to make sure that they were not overworked, and that they were paid for their work. That the profits from the work itself went to canteens to provide amenities for them. That respect was held for their NCOs and Officers. And on and on. Contrast that with today, where prisoners who are known to be innocent are held without trial and with no prospects of being repatriated. The conditions are equally harsh in many American civilian prisons. I will not present here, Gary's list of other document's detailing the incremental changes between that day and this. We can see where we began - and where we are now - which is not exactly where we may end up - as change continues to take place. Since St. Louis is presently on people's minds - here is a two minute old St. Louis story/video. If you listen carefully you will see that they are training local troops for local work. Using the Army for domestic law enforcement is unconstitutional and is forbidden under the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, 8 U.S.C. § 1385. In this case, and in each of those which follow, where the line is drawn has become more and more indistinct regarding the Governors calling up the National Guard/Reserve/Advisors and whether the "Instructors" are just training and equipping them, or whether they are participating. This all blurs here in the homeland as it does this week with boots on the ground in Iraq and Russian Red Cross humanitarian aid going into the Ukraine. As I write this - it is still too early to see where this is going to go in St. Louis. Months ago, in my time table of upcoming events, I spoke of "the long hot summer" and potential events of this type. I understand such events well. You have all certainly heard my stories about being under curfew when Baltimore was burning and lying on the floor during the shooting in San Francisco. Been there - done that. Don't want to be in the cities when it eventually all comes apart. Martial law would be good - or at least better than anarchy - but I suspect there will be a lot of both in the run up to the cumulative event. For years I have spoken about the prophecies of race riots in the cities causing the streets to run with blood while fearful weapons of destruction rained upon them from skies. Some event, like the assassination of a black president, will eventually cause that reality. It is obvious that the Powers That Be are preparing for that eventuality/probability. The American Economic Dream of past decades is fading - especially for the black community (look at Detroit for but one example) and you can see the need for the government to prepare for social disruption if they are not going to do anything to resolve the problem. Here is an article in the May/June issue of the CFR official journal, Foreign Affairs written by Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Raymond T. Odierno who states, “Army forces will continue to be ready to contribute to broader national efforts to counter those challenges at home, if needed. Our reserve component soldiers remain the bedrock of the army's domestic response capability, but where appropriate we will also dedicate active-duty forces, especially those with niche skills and equipment, to provide civilian officials with a robust set of reliable and rapid response options.” Decades ago I was astonished to find soldiers standing guard duty in front of the hotels, stores, tourist attractions, transportation facilities, and everywhere that I went in China. Now it is becoming a common site in America for everything from the Kentucky Derby to U.S. Army troops patrolling the streets of Samson, Alabama, after a murder spree; to 400 National Guard Combat Support Battalion troops deployed to “maintain public order” at the Boston Marathon; to numerous reports of military check points being established on the public highways such as in San Bernardino County, California. It has all become a part of daily lives as has the body search routine at the airports. While there have been vocalized many complaints about the US Army involvement in civilian affairs, surely everyone is now aware that the Northern Command is repatriating American troops such as the 3rd Infantry's 1st BCT for a new dwell-time mission. According to the Army Times 'Helping people at home' has become a permanent part of the returning active U.S. Army with troops doing “homeland patrols” and helping with “civil unrest and crowd control”. The Washington Post reported on plans to station 20,000 more U.S. troops inside America for purposes of “domestic security” from September 2011 onwards, an expansion of Northcom’s militarization of the country in preparation for potential civil unrest following a total economic collapse. The U.S. Army War College’s Strategic Institute, warned in its report 'Known Unknowns: Unconventional Strategic Shocks in Defense Strategy Development', that (p. 40) “Widespread civil violence inside the United States would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security,” adding that the military may be needed to quell “purposeful domestic resistance”. Most of the readers here are familiar with Garden Plot, Lantern Spike, REX 84 although most of your neighbors, friends, co-workers and anyone else that you meet in the general public are not. These are programs that involve secretive “scenario and drill” developed by the federal government to suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, assign military commanders to take over state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens determined by the government to be “national security threats". I will not repeat here, the long littany presented in the previous newsletter, about the arming of civilian police forces with military gear and weapons, and the purchasing of multi millions of rounds of ammunition for government civilian forces, and the well over a dozen other factors that I mentioned there. The 2012 Final FEMA Report delineates whom they think the enemy to be as does another Homeland Security report that particularly highlights returning veterans. So Pogo, say, "Move over China - we have now seen who our enemy is, and it us." Let me reiterate, as I stated in the previous newsletter, that if these forces could actually restore peace and security through martial law and bring about the unity of the nation, then I would think them a good thing, but I suspect that they are going to be more a part of the problem, rather than a part of the solution. Whatever. The parts and pieces seem to now be coming into place for the great finale. Japan this week experienced exceptional financial tremors. Severe enough to more assuredly affect the American shores than ever did Fukishima. Syria is experiencing more deaths than at any previous time in its conflict. Deaths are dramatically mounting in the Ukraine, and ISIS appears poised to execute a major campaign. Greater conflicts this week, than in years, between Pakistan and India. While the doomed to failure truce/peace talks have intensified between Israel and Hamas, and between the US and Iran, we never know when some seemingly relatively insignificant event may trigger the whole affair. For many months I held that the Great Final Battle of Armageddon would NOT occur until after the century anniversary of the beginning of Armageddon on July 28th, 1914. That time/line is past, as of July 28th, 2014 and train time is now anytime. This month, this year, next year - I do not know, but all the necessary ingredients are in place except that I expect a global economic/financial collapse to be a/the precipitating event. All that I have presented here is old news to many of you, and those who have chosen to disregard it and remain in the cities have already made their decision, so I am somewhat disgusted with myself for continuing to harp on these matters. My doing so will neither bring it on, or delay it - but any who are not aware by now can surely no longer be awakened. For those who are actually reading this, I would say, "Hang in there!" Around here, it's harvest time about one month early! The point is, regardless of the time we have left, for whatever reasons, life somehow goes on! We have a choice, or series of choices to either put everything in our lives on hold, waiting for the "Big Event" or we continue working and planning for whatever the future might bring. The more people I discuss this I with, the more I am convinced that we are talking about a pretty small group of people, many of whom have stubbornly decided to "do it on their own"! It doesn't matter if you only belong to one Triad or network. The aim is to maximize your efforts to maximize your positive outcomes. The way we do that is what I've been harping about for so long - Networking! I keep stressing that point because it is the heart and foundation of surviving AND thriving.
